You pay a fifth of the price as an original adapter and the 10GTek work perfectly.
These adapters are the fifth of the price you would pay for an original adapter and they work perfectly and we have had no problems with compatibility.

Seems to work just as well as the branded versions, but at a fraction of the cost.
I have 2 of these units fitted into a Netgear GS724T, used as uplinks into other devices. The management on the switch recognises the presence of these and reports back the statistics for the port, exactly as the branded versions would - since both these have worked fine to date, will be fitting 10Gtek 10Gb fibre versions into other Netgear switches. I have no issue recommending these - excellent value for money.

Does the job nicely
I added one of these to my Netgear ProSafe 24 port switch. It allows the SPD port to be used as a normal RJ45 port and connects to my router without any issues.

Wrong item received
Ordered the 1Gb SFP transceiver but received a 10Gb SFP+ transceiver which is of no use for what I need. Having to return it but has set me back a weekend now.I’ve not given this one star as 10GTek transceivers are good value and work well. We have a number of the 10Gb ones in use already. Just a shame the ball was dropped on this one.

Perfect for converting spare SFP ports into extra RJ45 ports
Excellent product. Plugged into an empty SFP slot on my Netgear GS110TP and was recognised straight away. Looks and feels like a quality product. Throughput is as good as any of the standard RJ45 ports on the switch. Mine does get quite warm to the touch as other reviewers have stated, but not to the point where I would be concerned.

Advertised as 1000/100/10 but only 1000 with Netgear GS110TPv3
RJ45 to SFP…. There is mention in the description of 1000/100/10 Auto Negotiation…..When plugged into Netgear GS110TPv3, only appears to establish a link with 1000Mbit connections.Could not get a Link with 100/10 devices so it appears the Auto Negotiation advertisement is not accurate.
