XL, Slow Hay Horse Feeder

This slow feeder is very solid. It’s a little pricey, but worth it. I imagine it will last a long time. I had to secure it to my boys pen because it will definitely fall over and become useless. They bang on it every so often, probably because they have to work at it. The destructive horse is 17.2 1200+lb’s and it withstands him. Recommend this for hay conservation.

I bought the Porta Grazer for my horse on the recommendation of a friend. My mare took to it immediately! I’ve ordered a second one for my mule and the mini Porta Grazer for my miniature donkey. A very durable and usable product. I recommend it highly!

My only wish is that you could have smaller holes. My horse eats through this pretty fast. Maybe they could make a regulator with slightly smaller holes to slow the horse down a little more. Other than that, love it.

Slows my horse down while eating. May take them a little while to figure it out but once they do it’s great. Keeps food in the barrel, not scattered all over the stall.I don’t have a pasture for my horses, so this slow feeder really helps.

Can’t get the slow feeder inserts out. Bought 3 and only 1 works. And they weren’t cheap.

Just found this picture. Looks awesome, but we just started a similar system...lots less $. A Muck bucket, bolted onto two landscape timbers so it won't be tipped over. Drill holes in the bottom. Use as is or fill your slow feed hay net and drop it in. Going to build/implement this weekend.

Easy to attach to wall or stall or corral - have a mare who gobbles down her flakes in minutes- this has her busy 24 hours! Yes she eats all day all night! Now she is super happy and not stressed!!! Great feeder!

It did slow them down but...they have their heads in an enclosed space while eating and I worry about the hay dust and when they were empty at 3:am, they kicked and banged on them for more hay to magically appear. Good for shod horses since there are no nets. Bought directly from company.
