This actually works! I wasn't sure it would. I actually bought 2 different ones - plus a plastic contained charcoal, and even some Zeolite rocks as I wanted to test them all. They all work (except the rocks, which are supposed to be even better than charcoal, but so far, haven't absorbed the smells as well)

I'd been aware of charcoals ability to draw smells-odours-stinks for years but didn't put 2 & 2 together until recently, I'd paid for expensive charcoal layer foot odour controlling inserts etc...Having several old dogs & the car reeking after one was collected from the vet's kennels from a day of pre-operation checks & bloods ..she stank to high heaven, ..we keep a big deodoriser gel in the cup holder in the centre of the car ...it failed!(Context: we tried it in our small Merc A class a 4-5 seater, a bigger vehicle may require a bigger bag long term, depends on the strength of the odour really & users mindset to use it throughout a vehicle to draw odours evenly. ...we'll start in the middle, move it to the boot & then the front over a week or two to see how it draws the accumulated odour).So I thought i'd try this, & having received it yesterday morning popped it via the well thought about hanging tab (provide your own string / wire / carabiner & hoked it onto the back of a headrest.24 hours later & having used the car several times since the "strong dog stench" (despite using & removing seat covers for transport of our drooling boxer mutt) ..has lessened to a significant degree, & it makes sense, charcoal is a filtration layer used in gas-masks,some extraction fan units & air purifiers, ...jut leaving this 200g bag in the car then periodically drying in the sun / in the warm nook of our wood burning stoves recess is simple, i'll test it out in a few more places, then order a big bag of the stuff to be permanently placed (between refreshing it as per instructions) in our dogs pen ("& ink") ..as I refer to it!The hessian is a nice touch because it is easy to tell whether it is dry or moisture laden, also being an open weave material it allows the charcoal to really do its work.Now some folk might say it is expensive for some charcoal, i'll buy an air freshener & it'll go, ..but they just mask a smell with another, this draws odours so they are more likely to stay gone.No mess, no leakage, no residue on your hands, nor surfaces you place it upon!What IS activated charcoal???Activated charcoal, or activated carbon, has oxygen added to it to increase its porosity, thereby, adding to its surface area. It's normally used to remove chemicals, toxins, and gases. Due to its added benefits, activated charcoal has replaced charcoal in water purification systems and fish tank filtering systems. Where toxins are to be removed, activated carbon has proven to be more successful. ..Regular charcoal is also useful for odour removal but nowhere near as effective..Activated charcoal is not the stuff you use for your BBQ with a firelighter!Now I know my wife spends at least a pound on a new neutrogena gel deodoriser (scent masker, not remover) regularly, as well as spray downs for the car etc, over the courseof 2 years she spends more than this costs merely to try & mask dog smells.. so this will be an interesting experiment, i'll source a kilo of the stuff & try it elsewhere (dog-pen) & bag it myself (yes, a man with a thread / needle / sewing machine).It is obvious that this works, bit by bit chipping away at odour, not a cure all but a safeguard a long term reducer of stink! ..kids trainer stash in a wardrobe might be a good idea after airing on a windowsill ;)This would be much better to simply have a bit more print on the product itself to remind / instruct you how & when to "refresh / reactivate the refresher via its charge / discharge ability in the sun, I know i'll forget & it will likely become a "what do I do with this"!? item.for that I pull a star, it is simple, it could be simpler, especially when you are having a clear out & can't tell whether this has ceased to function & are wondering whether it is simply "car detritus" amongst sweet wrappers & accumulative junk in a family car.Disclosure: ..this item was kindly provided (gratis) to ourselves for the purpose of non-biased appraisal.

Wow what a difference. for those that have babies you will know what i mean by that nappy smell........ not nice we tried to structure putting the nappies straight into the bin but with 2 babies in nappies that would require around 14 trips to the bin per day. (even if you did 2 at once which isnt always possible) 7-10 times per day is just to much whilst trying to tidy a house have fun with the kids etc.this item doesnt make the room smell nice what this item does is helps to remove those nasty odors. we have placed ours in the bottom of one of these 2 x Large 80/85L Litre Black Bin Ideal for Rubbish / Animal Feed / Storage really great as a nappy bin. we just use standard size pedal bin bags throw them in there and hey presto very little smell even when you open the lid it isnt overpowering. NOTE if doing this empty the bin every week at least. nappies will in my belief eventually beat this cool little product.overall highly reccomended and will be looking to buy 2-3 more`

So when you pick up this bag, it's just a bamboo hessian sort of bag filled with charcoal.I didn't think it'd do anything however I was completely wrong.I put this on a shelf in the corner of my room and within about half an hour all ambient smells had vanished.I tried introducing a strong smell (a box of fish and chips, usually lingers for hours) and it went away within about 15 minutes.This little bag is a brilliant air freshener (not air freshener like those sprays which just further contaminate the air, a proper air freshener that freshens air) and really does make a room smell like nothing.As for dehumidifying, it's pretty good considering it is totally passive and isn't plugged in.My room is an old dormer so the windows get terrible condensation, however this little bag really reduces the amount of condensation.It doesn't perform as well as my massive plug in dehumidifier but that is seriously to be expected.As for the looks, it looks great, very rustic and could fit in any room.The little eyelet is useful if you want to thread a bit of rope through it to hang off of a banister or something.Overall this is a great little thing to throw in to a corner of a room and enjoy the benefits of.Having a neutral smelling room is great and if you want your room to smell of nothing, get this.

Habe mir die Kohle zur Neutralisierung von Rauchergeruch in einem Gebrauchtwagen gekauft. Hat aber leider nicht funktioniert. Ausser das sich überall kleine Kohlestückchen im Fahrzeug verteilten(?) habe ich keine Wirkung feststellen können. Evtl. lag es an meiner fehlerhaften Handhabung aber was kann man mit diesem Produkt schon falsch machen? Wir gehen nun getrennte Wege.

Tut was es soll. Schön wäre wenn das Kissen leicht vibrieren oder piepen würde, wenn man das Auto verlassen möchte. Ich vergesse das Ding oft im Handschuhfach und dann sind die Fenster am nächsten Tag beschlagen.

Non so se effettivamente il suo lavoro l'abbia fatto però nella macchina cattivi odori non si sono sentiti. Ovviamente credo che dopo due anni lo utilzzo come fertilizzante. Visto che il suo compito lo ha assolto.

In meinem Auto herrschte immer ein unangenehmer Geruch und deshalb war ich auf der Suche nach einem Produkt, das den Geruch aufnimmt, anstatt ihn mit einem intensiven, künstlichen Duft zu überdecken. Bin dann auf dieses Produkt gestoßen und bin äußerst zufrieden. Es nimmt die Duftstoffe auf und ist selbst geruchsneutral.Ein weiteres Exemplar habe ich in meinem Badezimmer in Verwendung, da ich dort dauernd Schimmelprobleme hatte. Hab einfach den Schimmel beseitigt und diesen Beutel ins Badezimmer gehängt, seither tritt das Schimmelproblem nicht mehr auf. Nur einmal pro Monat sollte man den Beutel einen Tag in die Sonne legen, damit er die aufgenommene Feuchtigkeit wieder abgeben kann.Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt und kann es nur jedem empfehlen, der ähnliche Probleme hat.

Una sola, non serve a nulla. Chi sostiene che abbia un senso questo sacchetto è perché ama farsi illudere. Assolutamente inutile, ed è stato provato per lungo tempo, utilizzato nel modo giusto.

Habe im Büro (klein) und im Auto eine Säckchen,- die Wirkung lässt schon sehr zu wünschen übrig, schade! Geruch im Auto ist nach wie vor, je nach Witterung vorhanden.

Habe dieses Produkt zum Entfeuchten für mein Auto gekauft. Funktioniert super würde jedoch für ein Auto mittlerer Größe 2 Packungen empfehlen.
