Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are?

We've had quite a few Dr Seuss books, like them all, love more than a few, but this one is our all time favorite. I was therefore surprised to see that the average Amazon score for this fine book was anything less than the full five stars it no doubt deserves. So why was that? It turned out that one lengthy, fairly accurate and overall positive but at four stars numerically stingy review had been posted 5 times! The only criticism "the kids will enjoy it, but might not get it". Well, that is not my experience. My kids certainly found this little story as instructive as it is amusing and uplifting. It is a five star plus book that really should be part of everyone's library.

I am in my 20s and never had the chance to learn, read or hear books by Dr Seuss. However at this age, I was compelled to buy this book which tell you how much we have to be grateful for and we should be grateful for every little thing. I think it is a great mind opener for young children and a great reminder for adults. I love this books to bits. I would definitely recommend it. This not only teaches you to read, but gives rise to the love of poetry, playing with words and philosophy.

Love it they have a whole selection of Dr Suess books which are read before bed and adding this to the selection means an extra bed time story before I go to work.

A really lovely book. A great message portrayed in the Dr. Seuss style that we all know and love. Highly recommended!

He outlines important life lessons in a fun and accessible way for people of all ages. I am passing this on as a gift but I will so enjoy reading this through with my youngest sister!

Good book, I was expecting it to be more like ‘oh the places you’ll go’

quite a profound read for an older graduate grandson...... and such fun for youngsters.. could easily learn to read with dr zeuss and such an encouragement for moving on readers....

If your child likes ridiculous illustrations and ridiculous rhymes, they will be in heaven with this book. If your child is too young to read, you will find yourself rereading this many times
