Melissa & Doug Feeding and Grooming Pet Care Play Set Pretend Play Vet Toy Veterinarian Kit for Kids

First off, Melissa & Doug doesn’t get enough credit — 9 times out of 10 their toys are fantastic! They always include the little details that really elevate pretend play. This horse care set is super cute! The stable folds up for storage it’s made out of hard plastic material that will last a long time, which is nice, though some is made of cardboard that might not last forever the pretend water for the bucket is card board. Still, it includes everything your child needs to care for their horse and encourages such sweet, imaginative play. Also allowing the horse to be soft and cuddly for winding down time. My daughter loves it! Perfect size doesn’t take up a lot a room but bigger than the Barbie sets to feel like your taking care of it.

I’m a big Melissa and Doug toy fan and this one did not disappoint. My little horse lover LOVES every single part of this toy. The quality is right in line with most Melissa and Doug toys...I might even go as far as to say it may be considered better. All the pieces are made well and durable. The little additions that allow your kiddo to personalize it are really awesome like the name stickers for the horse and the way all the pieces can be placed anywhere in the stable. One thing I feel like might be a fun addition would be if Melissa and Doug included a washable dry erase marker. The kit comes with a checklist for “chores” necessary to take care of your new pet and this piece is made of the same plastic the stable is made from. So when my LO opened it and started playing and insisted on being able to actually mark off each chore as she did it, I dug out a dry erase marker for her to use and it worked perfect to wipe clean and re-do each day. It’s a really fun, interactive toy with zero batteries and screens. Win-win-win. Not to mention the lessons of responsibility my LO is learning without even realizing it. It is definitely mom and kid approved in our house and we have gotten lots of play time out of it already since Christmas!

This was hands down my horse loving three year old’s favorite birthday present. All the accessories it came with are great, she will spend hours giving her horse baths, grooming him, feeding him and putting his saddle/bridle/blanket/shoes on and taking them back off- and since he’s soft she sleeps with him too. I imagine the cardstock stable won’t last too long in a preschooler’s room, but it’s cute for now, and even when it’s done for the horse and accessories themselves are well worth the price. Would definitely recommended it!

My kids love this. It goes with the Melissa and doug vet station. Animals are soft and the kids love the grooming tools and pet snacks.

This is a great set. It has 2 bowls (one for dogs and one for cats). It has grooming items such as shampoo and a brush and an electric razor that buzzes when you pull the cord. It has “dog food” and “cat food” and treats. There are other items as well. Everything is sturdy and colorful. Children 3-6 would love to use the items with their dog and cat toys. Only disadvantage seemed to be the kit’s stuffed dog and cat were not very realistic.

My granddaughter became fascinated with horses right before Christmas and this set was a get starter into the world of taking care of horses. Great selection of different items to use that she can do by herself! Cocoa is now our newest member of the family and her imagination soars every time she plays with this. Great buy!

I LOVE Melissa & Doug toys and highly recommend any products that they have. The plastic is sturdy, the paper strong, and the fabric is soft. The colors help to make it fun for the kids. They are easy to use, safe for the kids and you definitely get your moneys worth. I would buy anything they have on Amazon! You will not be disappointed.
