First of all, don’t read any of the one or 2 star reviews on this product, or you never will make a buying decision and you will talk yourself right out of buying one in the first place. I would call them primers or bogus claims to level out the review averages. We received the TurBro fire pit yesterday, New Year’s Eve at our mail room on the way to dinner. I couldn’t wait to get home to try it out! To start, a monkey missing a thumb could assemble this thing. Great instructions and very well packaged. Awesome storage bag. Super easy to move around. The folding legs keep the bottom of the pit far from the surface. You can put your hand under it at full flame and see there would be no damage to the patio even if it is wood. Not quite smokeless. I started the fire with some pine scrap lumber and grill fire starters. Flames up QUICK! I was putting 3-4 inch diameter logs on it and they caught immediately. I made the mistake of using wood that was not seasoned well, and the pine also put off some black smoke. The burning performance of the stove is unlike anything I’ve ever had. Burnt everything into a fine ash. Took all of 30 seconds to dump into a bucket and clean. Tonight I will be using only seasoned wood and leaving my patio fans off. The smoke I got was from the trash wood I used, plus my patio fans blowing down on the stove. The flame does go straight up just like they advertised. The heat also goes up and does not radiate too far out, which I personally like. You can sit closer to the fire without melting your soles. All in all this is a great addition to add to the ambiance of our custom home. Cannot be beaten in price or performance! All in I paid $122; by signing up for an Amazon store card with an $80 gift card incentive and another $20 coupon at checkout. I can honestly state I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to many relaxing evenings on our patio, sipping wine and enjoying a fork cooked hot dog or some marshmallows.

I am really happy with this fire pit. Don't let the price compared to other options fool you, it is great quality. Its 2 piece design makes it super easy to clean. The covering it comes with has also been out in the elements for a whole year at this point and has not degraded. The pit burns logs and other fuel super efficient and puts out a lot of heat. I was initially skeptical of this whole "fancy fire pit" idea, but I am impressed at how much less smoke comes out of it when it's going full tilt.

It's not smoke free, but I didn't expect it to be. Way better than the open system that came with my table. Amazing heat and more efficient. Way less smoke to the point my wife can now join me without smelling of smoke. I got the black one. It's still stainless where it counts. The for has to get going before the wood has its emitted for the second burn effect. Makes a beautiful flame effect. I plan to clean it out and protect it from the elements after use to see how long it lasts. Materials seem solid quality though. Don't think I'll need a deflector, plenty radiating heat from this can! Keep the fuel below the vents. Glad I didn't spend extra $150 on premium name. Easy set up, folding legs are great idea. Definitely portable with included bag. Get ur own poker though.

Puts out great heat. Very easy to assemble, comes with a carrying bag, easy to clean and use. This is a substantial size for the cost. I’ve used it quite a few times. I feel it is safer for backyard use than a regular fire pit. It is definitely smokeless unless you put something with moisture into it. I like it so much that I ordered one for a family member!

This is one of the best items we've purchased all year. I am wowed by every aspect of it. Makes starting a fire, nearly anywhere safe and easy. Fires start easier, and burn nearly smoke free. We use this on our deck, there'd have been no fire on the deck, that close to the house without this nifty item. And with lung disease I have to be very careful of any smoke exposure. This doesn't put me front and center, but I can enjoy this on the periphery of the fire unlike our normal fire pit which I need to stay a hundred yards from.

The product itself is pretty nice. I really like the fold-up legs and how everything packs up together in the supplied carry bag. I think my biggest thing is smokeless pits just aren't really for me I guess. They don't really put out much heat except for straight up. The upside to that is you don't really have to worry about them burning anything unless it's in direct contact. The downside is you end up with freezing feet and body and a really warm face. That might not be a deal breaker in summertime or warm climates but they're also hard to cook on because the heat coming straight up is so unbelievably hot even if you let them burn down first. Another drawback about them being enclosed is you don't really get to enjoy seeing the fire like you would in a standard fire pit. The smokless featured does work fairly well but it takes a while for the pit to get going enough before the smoke levels get cut by probably around 90 to 95%. They also burn wood quicker so you'll go through more keeping the fire going then in a standard pit. A big issue about going with this brand in particular is there's really no accessories. I made my own cooking grill but it would be nice if there was an option to buy one that was made to fit and maybe like a heat deflector etc. I think one of these might be neat if it was recessed into the ground somehow so the flame was at ground level but other than that I feel like the uses are a bit limited for me anyway. Bottom line as far as smokeless pits go this one's not to bad it just lacks accessories and most importantly before you buy any of these smokeless pits make sure it's what you're actually looking for because for the few benefits there's also quite a few drawbacks.

I was torn between the more expensive brand names and this one, but we really like it. The folding legs and the ability to collapse it to a smaller size is great. I was wondering how hot it was going to be below the pit and it was just warm. We can easily use it the way it is to make a fire on our deck. Once the fire was going, it was smokeless and lasted for a long time. I think it is well made and a good value compared to those more expensive options.
