Degu Shelf - Three Pack

My rats absolutely love these. We have 12 platforms around their 122cm high cage and they jump easily from platform to platform, to travel up and down. They also sleep, groom and play on the larger ones sold by this seller. I was worried they would chew through the platforms, as rats do with so many things, but excluding a single exploratory nibble when first introduced into the cage, the rats see them as part of the cage wall and not as chew toys. Sturdy, well made, and can get cheaper 'refills' without the metal attachment. Great product(s)!

I bought these to use as platforms for my 3 chonky male rats to get around the cage easier. When attached to the bars, they are incredibly sturdy and do not jiggle or buckle under the weight of even multiple rats. They love bouncing off them and using them as perches to look out of the cage bars! I am unsure how long they will last if they become a favored peeing spot, but the fact you can buy refills make them very cost-effective, and a good alternative if you find the usual lava ledges a bit too expensive.I would recommend!

We are using these in our baby rats cage, they love jumping around on them! They’re made of cardboard tubes and hessian cloth with a bolt through the middle. They are sturdy but I can’t comment on how they hold up to chewing, our babies haven’t tried yet! (I’m sure it’s coming!!) but you can buy shelf replacements for the bolts. The only problem is if they’re peed on, they smell really bad because of the material!

Good quality and I was happy with them, but unfortunately, despite not showing any interest in chewing them for months, one of my chinchillas decided to chew a corner of the shelf he always used to sit on and he died of an obstruction today despite treatment

Good shelves though watch out if you have plastic coated bars as it can chip off the paint layer when attaching /detaching....need to do it carefullyBought them for my rats, the ledges are smallish, so they don't start on them, but so use them for climbing or sitting briefly to get a high view point in their cage

Used to attach to bars of gerbil cage topper for a safe platform for them to get water and food from. Need to secure tightly to stop it bending but works well. Very pleased.

My Hamster likes these. Used in a Savic Plaza. The bolts just fit through the bars but it's a little tight and did remove some bar paint. Good and solid when on.

These really are a good product for the right animals, my rats just urinated all over them but I can't be too harsh on the review as that's not the fault of the supplier. The just don't absorb urine well.
