Why are there two nozzles - one red and one white? Are they for 'cloud spray' and 'direct spray'?

Yes. I used the red spout to provide a better target for certain areas.

Do you just spray and leave it alone or do you have to up it in with a rag or something?

Wipe excess debris and any water off then spray and leave. If resin built up then scrub with stiff brush after a few hours

This product doesn’t appear to do anything. Certainly not dissolving rust and resins. Is there a special application method or something?

as far as I know it is for cleaning the cutting blades of hedge trimmers etc of plant saps, resins and other organic materials after use, and particularly at the end of the season, when the tool is to be stored over the winter. I just spray it on on, leave it for ten minutes or so and then remove with a piece of cloth.

Can I use this on my ego hedge cutter

Yes I think so 👍 It is expensive but the best for all hedge trimmer blades. Don’t use to much just one movement back and front
