Smaller than I thought, but very good! Excellent wood and sound.

It works!
I'm using it in two bands, to accompany Santana's "Oye Como Va" which needs Latin percussion. Through the mic, this does the job!

Basic Guiro, not a great tone, but did a very important job
I bought this guiro to use as a stage prop in the show, "Kipps". It looks the part, makes a reasonable (if high pitched) scrape sound, but was perfect on stage for its purpose. However, I am also a percussionist, and simply, for my own use, this doesn't really cut the mustard. One of the big LP (Latin Percussion) guiros is much better for live music. For stage use, education, etc., can't fault this - but because of my other potential use, it's too weak in terms of sound. Hence 4 stars rather than 5.

Nice bright sounds
I like the natural sounds and it is comfortable to use.

Wheres the stick?
First one came without the beater stick! Had to get a replacement. Build quality is good, functions as it should.
