My wife had hip replacement surgery and we got this to help with icing the area per doctor’s instructions.It is easy for one person to put on themselves and wear while walking. It stayed cold for about 35-45 minutes and longer if it isn’t a hot day. It worked really well and stayed in place. It wasn’t too heavy or put pressure on the incision. It was flexible and durable, though I didn’t put it through anything other than walking and resting. The size was perfect for her. She is 5’4 and 125 pounds. Highly recommend.

The electric ice machine issued after hip replacement is awkward to handle, refill, position, etc., so I searched and found this. I freezes in two hours, remains flexible, stays cold at least the twenty minutes I’m allowed to use it per hour, and bands secure it to my waist and thigh. Perfect. So I ordered a second so I have one ready in the freezer each hour. Fantastic. It covers my whole hip and wraps it in cold therapy. Even my PT guy is impressed. But update…Update: the second one I received was of inferior material, had a whole different type of horrible light gray rough Velcro, and is totally unacceptable. I will be returning it. If they send me a replacement of the same poor quality, I’ll return it too.

After hip replacement, this ice pack was made to perfectly wrap abound my whole hip, front and back. It relieved pain so well after surgeryI was able to get a very needed nap. There were straps to keep it in place, if you need something like that.

After hip replacement surgery, it is very important to keep the hip area cold. Due to the location if the hip, it is difficult to securely fasten the icepack. Newgo did a very good job with design, the icepack can be securely strapped onto the hip area, provides a good coverage and fit.

The product was good but only received one strap with it. So with one strap you cannot properly apply. Only will give 3 Star

I carefully reviewed several ice packs for hips. I didn’t want one too big as I didn’t need it to fit far down my leg, but rather just around my hip joint area. I also didn’t want it to be too bulky.The straps are nice and long and easy to arrange around waist and thigh to keep it secure. I can use it while sitting, laying or even standing as I do the dishes.The bag to store it in freezer is a bit small so I keep it in a 2 Gall zip lock bag in the freezer.It stays cold for a good amount of time while using it. ( I have not tried or needed it for use heated.)Love this ice pack!!!

Used after 2 hip replacement surgeries. Truly else with the pain I had. Easy to put on and freezes quickly in the freezer. Not messy and did not leak.

Used after a recent hip replacement, Cool pack is substantial and lasts at least one half hour. Waist and leg straps positioned the pack exactly where I needed it.
