Very useful piece of gear. Although setup can be tricky using a SIM like GiffGaff where you have to load the access point info for it to work. Nevertheless it works well and is reliable. Make sure engine is started before switching on, otherwise it will switch off on starting engine.

Stuck in a loop where you are prompted to download the HUAWEI HiLink APP, it will not allow you to access any websites or do anything else apart from download the app from the adapter, the app is so old it will not work on the latest version of Android, trying the app on a Android 12 head unit does not work either, it fails to setup a guest network. Tried resetting it but that did not make any difference.

Got this for the car and stuck in a cheap data sim. Great for long journeys to keep the kids tablets connected. Marked down a star as would be good if it automatically came on when you start the car.

Great product. Easy to set up. I used with EE data SIM card bought through Amazon. Keeps the children happy and I can run maps on my phone via WiFi. Smaller than I thought. Fits in palm of your hand. Have to remember to turn it on when the engine starts, but kids will remind you if you forget! I would suggest setting the SIM up the day before travelling as, although very fast respond, times may be longer at weekend and holidays.

Worked well and did what was supposed to. Very limited use and stopped working within 6 weeks.

This is a fabulous bit of kit. I had one on EE for years so I knew what I was buying. This is unlocked so you can swap simcards if necessary. I have an adapter which plugs into any 240v wall socket with a 12v cigarette lighter type of socket which means I can use it indoors, home, hotels etc.

The app to configure this is not available in the UK Apple App Store and the android google play app doesn’t resolve, this shouldn’t be getting sold in the UK as it’s pretty useless here.

I needed to add the correct APN to make it to connect to the Vodafone network, but once that was sorted out it works well. It had automatically taken 4 APNs from the SIM card - but none of them were correct for the data only SIM I'm using. I have also used an external antenna as it is buried quite low in the vehicle - and that addition improves the signal and therefore speed quite a lot. I have also used the trick mentioned elsewhere in these feedback comments about jamming down the "on" button to make it start up automatically.

No es complicado de hacerlo funcionar. En el coche resulta muy eficaz. Porque la SIM recibe señal en cualquier sitio, incluso en un garaje comunitario. Es lo mejor que he tenido.

Günstige Variante für das WLAN im Auto. Der Einbau einer extra Box hätte in der Händlerwerkstatt knapp 300,- Euro gekostet. Wir sind Nichtraucher, das Auto hat genügend USB-Anschlüsse, also was tun mit dem Zigarettenanzünder, äh - mit der 12V-Steckdose? Der HUAWEI passt perfekt, sieht gut aus und funktioniert einwandfrei, auch ohne Zusatzantenne. Noch ein Plus: an dem HUAWEI gibt es einen zusätzlichen USB-Port. Würde ich jederzeit empfehlen.

The most I can get is a maximum of 2 bars on the Wi-Fi. It's not even enough to connect with the internet. I also had to pay for a sim card and a connection fee.It's a total waste of time and money. I just gave away my money and don't know how to get it back. Never I guess! An expensive lesson learned.
