Effective.
I feel a bit funny putting that I love this fly paper, but it has done a great job in my kitchen that every summer seems to get overrun with flies. Horrible things. This summer has been the worst, probably due to the hot weather so I have had to employ extra defence strategies to get rid of them. These have a small hole on the top and come with little ties so that you can hook it onto something. It's good but there's not all that many things that I can hook it too, but I put three of these up and they have done a great job. They aren't as effective as the tape that comes in those little tubes that you pull out, but they're easier to use and have more sticky space. This has attracted both larger blow flies and smaller fruit flies.

They are messy and poorly packaged. But they are what they are.
Overall, they are what they are, sticky pads for trapping flies and bugs. I cannot say how effective they are going to be long term, as I'm using mine under the bed legs to try and trap any potential bed bugs. I just slide them under the bed legs, with one sticky side exposed up and keeping the other side with it's paper still on (I can re-use it later, by turning it over, putting the paper from the fresh sticky side onto the used side..).My issue is with the packaging. They came sealed inside a plastic zip bag, which was too small to get them out without having to tear the plastic bag. Which is annoying because I'd like to have re-used that bag instead of throwing it away. Putting them between to A4 non-stick pieces of paper would have been more environmentally friendly. I'm not an eco-warrior, but I do like to try and keep plastic waste to an absolute minimum. I would have given 5 stars otherwise! They are very sticky and I have no doubts they'd catch flies and bugs!

UPDATED 07/04/17 BEES! Beware they can get stuck! see end: So far so good, not much by way of safe handling guidance though.
Easy to cut, sweetly scented and very very sticky! I dont know if you're supposed to wear gloves whilst handling these or if they are impregnated with any chemicals however I haven't grown another arm as yet although that would be useful. At the risk of upsetting the seller, I cut mine into quarters and threaded green cable/plant ties for my mini green house - they started earning their keep within 5 minutes.UPDATED: 07/04/17 - just a heads up on these as I have them in a mini greenhouse and found a black bee struggling against one of these traps. As I always wear gloves whilst gardening I managed to release the creature without too much issue however, I'm not clear whether it had been there for some time or if there was some additional chemical in the catchers that had an effect on the animal's coordination. What I would suggest is that if you are using these catchers please check them on a regular basis if you keep or open your area up to air as I'm sure none of us want to contribute further to the reducing bee population. It's just a heads up, if you have something stable for the bee to climb onto then it shouldn't have an issue, mine got caught because the catchers were hanging by wires.

These are amazing!
These are amazing!I had hundreds of tiny flies in my house plants, I'd tried several homemade remedies, but nothing deterred them and I was at the point of putting all my plants outside.I have cut the squares into 4 and put 2 in each plant pot by attaching them to an old pencil, the flies are definitely attracted to them and after two days there are less hovering around the compost and more attached to the papers.I've attached photos so you can see how many flies have been caught in just over a week, they show both sides of the trap - I normally place 2 in a pot opposite each other, but moved them closer together to photograph. My plants are looking a lot healthier now and there's only a few flies left in the plant pot.

Catcher of the fly
They cover more surface area than the regular spiral paper but these sheets aren't quite as sticky. I've watched the flies and various other flying insects walk away from the centre of the paper where they all seem to die right at the edge. I'm not sure if it's stickier in that area. This means it doesn't catch more able bodied creatures including only about 50% of the lesser common house flies that land on it.

Works for me
I bought these to try and alleviate the problem we have in the new house we moved to recently, which was plagued for about a month during the summer with thrips or thunderbugs, tiny little insects which appear in the millions and crawl in to every tiny crevice they can find in the house, including most irritatingly inside the LCD screens of computers and TVs, where they then die. They are attracted to these sheets, so I will deploy them in anger next year and see if I can limit their impact.

I can't believe how well these worked
We had a SERIOUS fungus gnat problem that was devastating our house plants. When I first saw these, I though there was no way they'd be effective enough. I figured that chemicals were the only answer. We've now had these fly traps in place for just over a week (tucked into the soil where the gnats come out) and they've reduced our infestation from literally hundreds to just the odd one or two. What amazed me most was that they not only caught hundreds of gnats on the plants we knew were infected, but also on the plants we weren't even aware had a problem. I will be buying more so we always have some in the cupboard in an emergency.

The stickiest traps known to insect kind...
Having a bunch of plants in the conservatory is great, what isn't so great is all the aphids and other critters that they attract. Those roly fly paper things weren't up to the job and my local B&Q had closed down, so I turned to Amazon to rescue me from my arthropod dilemma. The paper arrived quickly (thanks Amazon Prime) and I was pleased to see that these were a decent size and easily cut into strips for dotting around the conservatory. Boy are these sticky, they've trapped all manner of creatures, tiny aphids, spiders, woodlice, bluebottles, and the like, in fact it's like an insect and arachnid graveyard in there! I wouldn't be surprised if they could stop a small rodent mid-run.As they are so adhesive you want to be careful using them. I accidentally walked into the conservatory door with one in hand and it stuck fast to the glass. I had to spend a good amount of time getting the sticky residue off it,All in all, great for helping to protect your plants of the insect invasion...
