Some great knowledge to read up on too here. Overal im very pleased with this book as it has given me so much in worth of drawings to do. Im not a geometer or an artist nor a mathematician but have been practising compass and straight edge work by drawing the platonic solids and some achimédian ones using a background system of golden ratio related circles ( thankyou george at Knew geometry youtube). Some templates i drew had complicated grids so when it came to drawing a couple of these pentagonal hexagon shaped patterns from the book, and those patterns are full of pretty connected pentagon's and decagons, i must say I've had some experience in reading these background patterns. Its a kind of meditation drawing these lovely patterns out. And now in the invisable background of the pictures ive drawn i can see so many vertices for the square view of the great dodecahedron, small stellated dodecahedron and most vertices of the great icosahedron. Can see all that and more through these patterns of geometry of the shapes. Thankyou Jain 108 for the book recommendation. i find all content in this book fascinating. One to keep and to keep dipping into whenever the time suits. I highly urge people to learn some form of geometry, sacred too, and to draw by hand, not computer. Review: Great Buy - Great Book for anyone interested in such subjects. I own Quadrivium by Wooden Books, it got me interested in this subject and was a great introduction to Sacred Geometry among other things like Geometry in Music, etc. I feel that if you can grasp the concepts expressed in that book, this book by John Michell should be your next read. The book consists of 1-2 pages for each image on the written subject, which are both very interesting to gaze at and/or study, and are also required in order to fully grasp the related Text. The text takes the reader through the basic introduction of each chapter & page etc, before going into explanations and proofing, that can sometimes be quite in depth and require the reader to concentrate, or in my case, re-read a sentence from time to time. The content may require imagination to understand a the concept, and even an interest in number to fully understand some of the aspects. People who know a little about Sacred Geometry will not be disappointed. Although this book isn't "huge" and i could casually read it within a few days, this book will take many future hours & study sessions at my desk if i want to fully understand the all content here.

Beautiful, comprehensive and authoritative
Beautifully illustrated, and as his last book, perhaps the most concisely expressed compendium of John Michell’s knowledge. A master in his field. The correlation between the numbers of metrology, geometry and music give us a real insight not only into how the world is made but how it functions as a harmonic consciousness.

Nice introduction to this subject for me.
Very nice book with lots of hand drawn and coloured geometric patterns. The descriptions of these shapes and the relations to number are discussed in more depth than I expected with a lot of reference to the esoteric and ancient understandings that were much more advanced than many may realize. I am quite new to this topic and am still not sure of it's true implications. This book seems like a good starting point for the novice (I have only read a book called Quadrivium by Wooden Books, which is also nice). At no point did I find the information particularly tough to comprehend. I also feel there is enough information presented for those how feel the desire, to recreated the drawings with a straight edge and a compass (which could be a nice meditative practice).

This is a remarkable book. Following the advice of fellow reviewer 'Joe', I bought this book following on from the excellent 'Quadrivium' published by the equally excellent Wooden Books. Certainly this book has the space to expand on many concepts introduced in 'Quadrivium' in greater depth. Nonetheless, this is still an introductory text in my opinion, individual topics covered here could have entire books devoted to them. A brief comment on the quality of the book itself. The hardback is bound and printed in India. Whilst several pages (~10) have bleed through from images overleaf, this does not particularly detract from the image on the page you are viewing. Overall, the print quality is good and the paper selected strikes a reasonable balance between quality and cost. This book is certainly in the £35 bracket which I paid for it in terms of physical quality.

YOU KNOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE
If you are a mathematician, a gardener, a person like any other who finds great wonder and beauty in the world, then you will indeed find a special place for this beautifully illustrated book in both your mind and on your book shelf. Here, the world is presented in all its remarkable glory through the most amazing geometric designs, delicately produced, found in nature and all material existence and like a magical mirror reflects to us the the great mystery of existence and of all things. Like many of the scientists who study physics have come to realise, there is much evidence to suggest our universe is both intelligent and spiritual. Believe me, you will delight in owning this remarkable study.

Cracking book about Numbers and Creation
I missed this when published but it is a very considered presentation with hand draw and pretty graphics that is the result of a lifetimes world by a seventies legend. There are completely new aspects in the book that complete John Michell's quite unique model of the world.

Mind-boggling both intellectually and spiritually.
It is a very inspiring mind-boggling book, I thoroughly recommend it, it is a perfect blend of maths and logic bordering on the esoteric and spiritual.

Molto interessante per capire le basi della geometria sacra

My association with John Michells work goes back about 40 years. I developed an interest in sacred geometry in my teens, and very slowly developed an understanding of sorts. Avoiding most of numerology and its association with superstition and witchcraft left pretty slim picking in the literature of the day. I discovered John Michell in 1972 with the publication of "City of Revelation", and it was like someone turned the lights on. Much of what I had learned on my own was easily referenced with his much more complete presentation. That same year (1972) I came across "The View Over Atlantis", and reaffirmed certain life-changes I had recently made. Sacred Geometry had become real to me in a way I could not have imagined. This last volume is a fine accompaniment to the ever-growing collection of my own geometrical schemes, lending affirmation and justification to my efforts, and the path upon which I tread. I am profoundly grateful for John Michells lifes work.

I just love this book, it opens up a deeper view on our existence I guess many of us have yet to learn. How does it do that? Bringing back all the beautiful colours and re-igniting our awareness of natural, some would say divine, order. Like with the fishes in the tank in the above illustration... Today, on the 24th of February 2022, I pray that all people on this planet may return to this natural order, especially those, who still look for solutions through agression. May the field of consciousness in which we all swim, even if we don't realize, let our prayers and healing energies reach the hearts of those people who need ist the most 🧡🙏

John Michell's book is a work of a true artist who, like a real Renaissance man, does not draw lines between exact sciences and artistic inspiration. The illustrator is on the same wave with the author, and his mind-captivating illustrations create the world of magic, letting the reader enter an enchanted forest of extraordinary ideas of ancient thinkers. Words, numbers and the art of mesmerizing geometric forms open the gates of wonder even for those who are not great mathematicians (sorry, Pythagoras!). Yes, the text and the accompanying it art demand some time and intellectual effort, but the rewards are beyond limitations! Like Virgil, the author leads the reader through a variety of complex concepts, and the entire experience is both intellectual and poetic.
