Yes, it works, but the sound level input from the mike is too low. Did't really do the job any better then my ipads internal mike

Irritating crackle
Headfone with mic is a grt idea but when recording with it the sound is crackling and is irritating especially with drums. Lowered the volume when recording but still the same. Tried different phones and androids but still the same sound of crackling maybe I just a bad one or something wrong with the microphone and as such I gave it a two star for a good idea of the two in one. I would look at other options..
