if you eat a lot rice or other foods you have to wash before cooking it's a useful tool, the ribbed inside of the bowl helps ensure rice goes where you want it to, the draining holes are an appropriate size, the water drains whilst keeping rice in the bowl. the only issue i have with it is the plastic the bowl is made from, i think it's thick enough and sturdy enough to not break under regular pressure, but it has just enough give in it that i'm not 100% confident it won't break eventually.

Purchased a Yum Asia Bamboo rice cooker and preparing the rice with a regular bowl and sieve was a real faff. This bowl is great, rinse the rice, then using a claw shape with your hand scrub the rice, rinse and repeat a couple of times. The water is super clear quickly. Also use this to wash veggies too.

As a person who eats rice several times a week, I absolutely hate washing rice. As having a nose thru amazon I saw this product, so glad I did, its absolutely perfect for the job it's ment todo. Make it so much easier and quicker. I only use basmati rice so have found I don't lose any rice.

This bowl is a must-have tool for rice cooking, it makes rinsing rice so much easier, no more awkward juggling or losing half my rice down the sink. My *only* complaint is it's sometimes a pain to wash individual rice grains out of the holes if they get stuck.

Best strainer I have ever used. I bought it mainly to soak the rice before cooking but it seems to be more versatile than that. The holes on the bottom are really small (so there is no way to loose any rice grains or even thin spaghetti from there) and at the same time big enough to let the water strain completely in a matter of seconds. I had to wait for a couple of weeks since it comes from Japan, but it was totlly worth it, as it seems to be the only strainer I will ever need to wash my rice, vegetables or strain my spaghetti.

I purchased this bowl to wash rice. The water drains from the bottom of the bowl, as per the product illustration, and you can also tip the bowl to drain water at the top. No rice grains slipped through the bowl either. Definitely recommend.

does not work for all size rice. A lot of it just simply falls through and then goes down the sink a waste of money then. if the right size is big enough, then it is a good products however test before you poor a lot in otherwise it is money down the drain.

I purchased this to drain my cooked rice. It doesn’t. The holes a far too small and the groves down the side are sealed so doesn’t let water through at all. I have tried to make the holes bigger and used a to to open up the decorative groves to help with water flow. Better but not enough to keep the rice from going soggy. Answer= I have finally bought a rice cooker : ))

無洗米派になってから米研ぎザルは捨てましたが、新米を頂いたのでこれを買いました。底に小さな穴がたくさん空いていて効率よくお米が研げます。ザルに比べ洗いやすく、衛生的です。

This is such a good product in so many ways. All the pros were described already by other reviewers. I will just attach the photos and video. I was really surprised in a good way when I discovered that is an authentic Japanese high quality plastic. The best device for rice washing I've ever had.

Im Nachheinen verstehe ich nicht, warum ich mich jahrelange gequält und mir nicht schon eher eine Reiswaschschüssel gegönnt habe :) Aber nun gut... Gestern angekommen, heute direkt mit heißem Wasser gesäubert und ausprobiert. Zugegeben, die Schüssel ist kleiner als erwartet aber bietet dann doch ordentlich Platz für viele Portionen Reis, was einen Vorteil in der Küche hat, denn sie braucht nicht viel Stauraum und stört mich in meiner kleinen, süßen Küche nicht :) Ich koche oft für meine Familie mit und mache mir sehr oft ein Meal Prep Gericht, vorzugsweise mit Reis (Asiatisch und Indisch), also ist der Platz in der Schüssel total praktisch für solche Anlässe. Auch kleinere Portionen kann man natürlich super waschen. Es ist eine unglaubliche Erleichterung für mich endlich eine Hilfe zu haben um meinen Reis zu waschen. Bislang ist mir dann doch das ein oder andere Reiskorn abhanden gekommen als ich mit einer regulären Schüssel meinen Reis gewaschen habe und das hat mich immer geärgert denn ich schätze Essen sehr und bin nicht verschwenderisch, werfe kaum etwas weg und koche eigentlich immer nur das, was auch gegessen wird. Nun verliere ich beim Waschen kein einziges Reiskorn mehr, es macht mir sogar Spaß meinen Reis zu waschen weil er nun noch gründlicher gereinigt werden kann, habe ich das Gefühl. Manche Reissorten sind nun doch etwas "verschmutzter" und man muss mehrere Waschgänge durchführen bis das Wasser einigermaßen klar ist und mit dieser Schüssel ist das gar kein Problem oder großer Aufwand mehr. Besonders gut gefallen mir die zwei Optionen, dass das Wasser unten hinaus tritt aber auch, dass ich das Wasser seitlich abkippen kann und so den Reis schneller vom überschüssigen Wasser befreien kann. Außerdem wasche ich mit dieser Schüssel auch gerne meine Heidelbeeren, die ich täglich esse und dafür ist es auch eine äußerst einfache und praktische Angelegenheit. Für mich persönlich sollte es ein authentisches Produkt sein und daher habe ich mich für diese japanische Reisschüssel im mittleren Preissegment entschieden, die ich auch jedem ans Herz legen würde, der viel und gerne Reis kocht und diesen dann vorher auch waschen muss / sollte. Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden und würde mir wünschen, ich hätte mir dieses Utensil schon viel früher zugelegt. Die Lieferung erfolgte sehr schnell und sicher im Amazon Karton, sodass die Schüssel auch nicht beschädigt wurde. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
