Under Dash Mount

The universal bracket itself is of very sturdy construction. Unfortunately, even though provisions were made to configure the bracket so it would fasten to the existing support brackets under the dash, the angle of the bracket did not allow it to sit flush. The mounting bolts would not squarely align with the bracket when passed through the under-dash support brackets. I tried all manner of securing the bracket to the dashboard but ultimately gave up. I gave this 3 out of 5 stars because as I said, the build quality is good. The material is good, but it is by no means custom-tailored to fit under the dash of my 2023 Ford Bronco. Some have "made it work" but I chose not to use the piece because I'd rather have something that fits perfectly and not have to be mangled to install. Especially at this price point. The problem is that it was made for "universal" fits, but in this case, it fell short of being usable for my intended purpose. I do like other items offered by this vendor (and have given them high marks for it), but sadly, this one is a swing and a miss.

This is a well made item, with lots of mounting options. I bought it for a Ham radio (TYT TH-9800) that has a larger chassis. The bracket itself is great but the radio just won’t fit in the space. I’m keeping it for future use.
