My daughter loves the water wow books! I stumbled upon this version while browsing Amazon and decided to give it a try.. It was almost twice the cost of one water wow book, but since it was bigger and had a different pen I decided to give it a try.Pros:Water is used to color. No mess!Keeps kiddo entertained for 10-15 minutes at a time.Pen does not leak near as much as the brush (water wow) does. Pen also comes with a lid.The pages are bigger than water wow and also since there is no place to put the pen it can be folded flat (something you can't do with water wow because of the pen holding plastic on the front cover).Cons-No place to hold the pen. You have to be diligent to be sure it isn't left behind and lost/forgotten.The pen does not color as well as the brush does. My toddler seems to like that but I feel the pages may not last as long.Pen is also really wet at first and dries out quickly (need to refuel the pin if coloring all pages in one sitting) also the screw on lid is backwards (though the instructions ON the pin contradict this?)When trying the water wow paintbrush on this booklet, same thing with multiple applications of brush strokes to make the picture appear. Like the "magic" isn't as great with this brand.Overall, I wouldn't say this is anything special. In the future I will probably stick to water wows since I can purchase a set of 3 for around $15 and even though the pages are smaller, it still equates to 3+ sessions of toddler-leaving-mom-alone for a good 15-20 minutes per book.

It is an amazing product. As you may know, little kid will draw everywhere, even I purchase the washable paint for her. It is make sure that kids would have a lot of colors on hand/clothes since the bigger pictures will use more color. I still need to clean the floor the wall after she painting. This paint books has no this problem at all. The animals in the book is so cute and fun. I would highly recommend this for young kids who loves to color.

I bought this as a gift for my young niece, and I loved the idea of a no-mess, reusable paint book. But, dear gods, the spelling mistakes and grammar are AWFUL!!! As a teacher, I’m horrified to give it due to horrible punctuation, typos, and the ignorance of the word “seahorse”...but I think she will enjoy it if it does what it purports to do. Please see the photos so you know what you’re ordering.

The pictures take a lot of water and rubbing for them to show up. Not a fan of these. It was very frustrating for my grandson to use.
