Good Bike
This was a significant purchase for my family. I am giving it a 5 star rating, as it won't allow a 4.5 star rating. Overall, the bike is very well built. Significantly better than the 50cc (not Trailmaster) bike we started with. We also have a couple newer Yamaha bikes for our adult riders in the family. The Trailmaster is a very solid bike for about 1/4 the cost of the Yamaha, that said...it is not in the same quality class as the Yamaha bikes. The devil always lives in the details and while the TM23 is a fantastic starter bike for my daughter (11), it misses the mark on some details. Carburetor adjustably and instruction manual details are my leading criticisms. When I say carburetor adjustably, I am specifically referring to no means to adjust the idle, which, is critical on a semi-automatic transmission. The instructions...if you don't have a decent mechanical background...you'd be wise to find someone who does to help assemble the bike. If fuel leaks from the bowl drain....it's the screw right next to the drain tube on the bowl that will close the drain valve... that is nowhere in the instructions. But, overall, the good far outweighs the lack of details and idle adjustment. For someone who is just starting but will actually put time in the seat....don't mess around with the cheap bikes, buy one of these and go ride. It has been reliable, it's got plenty of power, though not as much as a Yamaha TTR125, but it's close enough. I know there are aftermarket carbs, and will probably add one at some point. Also, don't expect much product support from the outfits selling these bikes...when you buy one, you're on your own, so either be willing to learn as you go, or have a shop that's willing to help with the details, etc.

Missing parts
Missing front forks bolt. No front number plate. Runs good

Ok
Bike runs ok. Regardless of choke position, Have to adjust idle at carb after bike warms up as idle is way to high and jumps into gear. Idle then needs to be readjusted when cold for bike to idle. Also all the graphics are coming off after one ride. Seat is also rock hard. Trying to find a solution as there is ‘0’ padding

Super!
My son is 8 years old and he is delighted! This is not his first motorcycle under this brand!
