Seiko Sakai Travel Bedroom Alarm Clock, Metallic Silver

After a bunch of research I came across this travel alarm clock that looked similar to one I have already. I took a chance on it after seeing barely any reviews. So many other small travel alarm clocks tend to have bad reviews for how cheap they are made etc.So far this one has kept the time and works well as an alarm clock. What's even better is this one has a small light in the corner which when you press the screen it lights up. I haven't seen that on other travel alarm clocks, my old one doesn't have it for sure. It's not very bright but would probably be bright enough in a dark room just to see what time it is.I am glad I purchased this one. I would say the only negative I have for it, is that it uses a AAA battery which I am not a fan of. My old one uses a AA battery which means it lasts longer. I am guessing the company decided to try and make this as small as possible (and thus as light as possible for traveling) but I think it would be a lot better having it be just slightly bigger and have room for a double A battery instead thus you know it would last even longer.Otherwise I have used it a number of times and the alarm clock works just fine and it keeps the time it seems like. So you can't really go wrong with this one. It's just a shame there isn't more decent travel alarm clocks out there but most people rely on their smart phones these days which I guess caused the market to dry up.

Terrible settings controls. You can only set the time by scrolling through time up or down instead of just setting the hour or minute separately. This is idiotic. Month/date increments 1/1, 2/1, 3/1. Cannot set the day number independent of month. I guess I can only set this clock on the first of the month? I am throwing this crap where it belongs.

Digital clocks are out of fashion these days. However, I don't want to sleep with a phone next to me (bad for health) or just having a watch which I have to pick up to look at, in the middle of the night. It gives me the time, weather and date all in one display. Easy to use.

1. Most small alarm clocks put form over function. They place all the buttons on the back where you can’t see them. Difficult to find one that focuses on ease of use.2. Related to above, appreciate that the alarm set time is displayed only when the Alarm is set. At a glance you can confirm the time the alarm is set, as well as the physical switch is up in set position.3. It is a Seiko. Contrast to other clocks of dubious build quality.4. Nice to have temperature and humidity included. Not critical to me but nice to have.5. Alarm is great and Snooze function is great. I have normal hearing, confirmed by testing in last year. Alarm is loud enough easily to wake me up. Tone is pleasant middle C beeping sound ( just my guess at tone). If someone complains they can’t hear this, it is because they are hard of hearing.6. It takes 2 AA batteries which are cheap and provide long lasting power. Contrast to some clocks that use AAA or button batteries. They won’t last as long.

The @ alarm settings are great. Quality product!

I love this little clock. I keep it on the dresser in my walk-in closet for quick reference when getting dressed each morning.And I take it with me whenever I travel.I highly recommend it!

I have had this alarm clock longer than I thought (2 years). Over the last 6 months, the clock has reset to 1 January 2021 at 12:00 am after the alarm sounds on multiple occasions. This morning I was awake before the alarm and watched what happened. The alarm sounded as scheduled and when I depressed the snooze bar at the top of the clock, the clock made a single beep and reset to 12:00 am on 1 January 2021. It is much too late to return my alarm clock but I wanted to advise others that depend on their alarms that this might not be the best choice for them.
