Lockheed Martin F-35 A Lightning II Plastic Model Kit, 1/48 Scale

What can I say. You get what you pay for. This is an excellent model. Extremely well made, lots of sub choices here. The level of detail I can achieve here is remarkable. I'm in my sixties and this is my winter hobby. A huge amount of decals and I won't be applying all of them. No one sees my models other than me anyway. Very satisfying build.

The model is great. The amount of detail in this model is great. Details like the radar the buttons in the cockpit are great. It was really fun to build. There weren’t any issues with the pieces fitting. Some much detail with all of the decals. The set is a little expensive but the quality of the set makes up for it. It is a great set.

This was a great build. Instructions were pretty easy to follow. Even included amendments to some steps that were corrected after primary instructions were printed. Lots of options on weapons load outs.

What can I say , it's a Tamiya and the parts just stick to one another like magic sometimes. The tolerances are very strict on this kit, but I still had some spacing issues putting together the upper and lower fuselage, it was no problem it just took a little work. I'd say this kit will challenge you and it will take everything you've learned throughout the years to build this giant set. It been fun and the decals take forever , so if you need a project that will take you some time and you think you got the skills go for it.

While the F-35A is likely to be the most popular of the family, it has some challenges that make a good model a 5/. The detail of the weapons bays is mostly lost if you close up the doors but ;Beast Node' makes a better display with all the pylons armed under the wings. This is for the permissive environments where stealth is not the primary need. No engine is included but a intake and fan face is added. The cockpit is very plain and is suitable for a 5th Gen fighter. No problems with fit and no filler was used.

Accurate details, engineering and excellent instruction sheet

This is the best 1/48 scale F-35A jet on the market. Tamiya has once again did their research and produced a excellent jet, that will make any scale modeler proud.

It was a very fast delivery and the product was in perfect condition.

今回のタミヤ 1/48のF35Aを待っていました。とりあえずは全体の形が整った時点でレビューします。申し訳ないですが、イタレリさんとは違い、タミヤさんのキットはパーツの美しさ、組み立ての正確さは流石です。RAMコーティングのデカールは、難易度高いです。コクピットキャノピーは、開状態、閉状態を両方作れて差し替え可能です。兵装庫も開状態、閉状態差し替えも可能にできそうです。RAMコーティングのデカールは、貼り終えた後にトップコートを塗装しないと劣化して剥がれると思うので要所要所でコートがけしたいと思っています。 パーツは非常に綺麗で感動してます。RAMデカールはマークフィッターを使わないと圧着しないので絶対必要です。途中だけどデカール貼りには注意してフィッターを使いたいです。RAMデカールを貼った状態での動画を。RAMデカールの光沢が強いので半光沢のトップコートをこの後吹く予定してます。STENCILSデカール、アメリカ空軍デカールを貼った後仕上げにトップコートを吹く事にしょうかなと。 デカール貼りに手間がかかりますが、塗装でRAMコーティングを表現するのは結構手がかかるだろうなと思います。とにかく手のかかるキットですが、パーツが綺麗で組み立てもスムーズにできるところは 「流石のタミヤ」 だと思います。
