Keep in mind you need to tune lyres a lot the first few times in order for it to stay in tune.
I've had to tune mine a few times because it would slip out of tune really quick the first couple times, that's a thing lyres do, but now it's just fine and I've been playing it quite a bit without needing to tune.I like that it's a great beginner instrument, especially since I have really small fingers that dislocate easily, so I can't play guitar, and piano is painful. I've been able to play this much more easily, and my hand can span a good chunk of the strings to pluck multiples without over stressing my hand joints. The lyre is a great size and is comfortable to hold as well. The sound is lovely, and the resonance in the body is pretty soothing as you play. My second string snapped the first time I tuned it, but I also think I had turned it a little too fast without giving the string enough time to adjust, so user error.Start with slow, few millimeter increments, and let the strings settle for a moment. It's ok if you can't get it into tune right away, just work slowly, tweaking multiple strings as others rest till you can get them all in tune. The strings are adjusting, so it will slip out of tune very quickly at first, that's fine, let the strings settle and just keep gently tuning over the next few times you play it so they don't snap, it'll get there.Restringing was fairly simple. Easier than a guitar, for me at least, and although I couldn't find my guitar string nippers, those will work well to trim the string once it's on.The nice thing is not only did it come with the case, extra strings, and the tuning wrench, but the booklet included contains some musical pieces so that you can get started.

Yes, it’s fun to improvise on & it’s easy to use
The media could not be loaded. I got this harp yesterday and slowly worked on tuning it. As with all new strings, it takes time for them to stretch and settle. Take your time and allow the strings and wood to adjust to the tension.I really appreciate the lower 4 strings going down to F, it makes the left hand have more options. The body itself is noticeably bigger than the 15 String version, but also adds to the tone. I added a different strap (my preference) and knee bones, but it comes with a black strap which would work just fine too. The included bag makes it easy to bring places too! It’s light enough. Some of the strings, I needed to slightly push in to get the strings to grip while tuning, so they wouldn’t slip. This is common for entry level harps. Also, there are no levers. However, it’s fairly easy to temporarily adjust the F’s to sharp or B’s to flat to accommodate a multitude of additional songs other than just the songs in the key of C.I would have liked it to come with an extra set of strings, but the listing did indicate that there wasn’t an extra set.I’m not a professional by any means, but I do enjoy playing immensely. If you are wondering whether you’d like to play harp, this isn’t a bad way to try it out without breaking the bank. It’s sturdy and can stand on its own. F and C strings are color coded correctly for US with blue and red respectively. And there is plenty of music out there for 19 string harps.I’d recommend this 19 String Lotkey.

Be patient
You'll need a lot of patience while tuning this. Don't take out of the box & tune right away. Let the instrument adjust to the room temperature before tuning. Tune slowly. My high string snapped off as I was tuning it. 😬 Slowly tighten each string then wait a while before getting back to it. The instrument itself is beautiful. Sits comfortably as you hold it. Great case. Easy to learn.

Beautiful, great sounding Lyre Harp.
This is a lovely instrument. The size is appropriate for an adult. The tone and resonance is lovely once tuned. Very happy with the Lyre harp, the carrying case, extra strings and tuning key. Great instrument for anyone looking to play harp as a hobby.

Can't play a thing but I can sound good regardless
So I picked this up so I could get better at reading music cuz I'm older and I wanted to learn an instrument just because I want to. You could be completely inept and play this. It is great. Because I am completely inept and I still sound nice. It is really relaxing. Even if you don't know how to play any instrument at all. You can just pluck away on the strings and it sounds so nice! If anything is great to be meditative, but it is also helpful because the instrument is so simple that it makes it a lot easier to learn how to read music.Important side note: for those who are not used to string instruments, you will have to tune it frequently the first few times because the new strings need time to stretch. Do not panic if you have to tune it frequently for a little while. That will happen with all string instruments when you put new strings on them.

Low quality material, poor craftsmanship in construction, comical audio quality
I strongly recomend that anyone who is interested in playing some tunes with a lier for personal enjoyment don't buy this product. I'm sorry, I just have to be very honest. I am personally am a musician. I just wanted to learns some popular folk songs for my mother who is recovering from stroke and I thought that the beautiful sound of the plucked strings would maybe give her some peace. You don't have to be a musician to know the second you tough the thing that it's cheepy. I paid almost one hundred dollars for this. I wanted to buy one of the more expensive ones in hopes of avoiding having a joke of a trash item left on my door step. Well, I was wrong, because even though I purchased the most expensive item in it type I got trash. You know those fake guitars they sell at gift shops, that's what this sounds like. The ply wood or what eve pressed wood they are using is more than half the reason why it sound so crappy. And tried iever method possible, this thing just wont maintain tunning, why? Because of the really poor primate construction of this so called instrument. Don't buy it, or at least don't buy this one. Because if you spent $26 on the lowest costing on then that is what you should expect, something you can give to a fixed year old to destroy at the end of the day.

Nice starter instrument
This was the first lyre I have owned, so I may be bias, but it seems to me to be an acceptable instrument! No damage, the strings are easy to replace and tune. They are in their breaking in stage right now so they lose their tune quickly, but given some more playing they will settle.I like the size of the instrument, and the sound is lovely. The strings themselves seem to be half copper (lower tone) and half steel(higher pitch). They were clearly numbered in the extra set the lyre comes with and simple to replace when one broke for me (not a big deal!).I like that the added booklet has some songs, that was a nice addition to start you off. It lists some apps for tuning so no need to buy a tuner if you have a smart phone. The case is also nice, its well made and no odd seams or zipper issues, it also didnt have a smell (some other cases I have gotten have has a chemical smell, nothing on this one). I like that the lyre doesnt move in the case, its snug without pressing on the strings.Overall, this is a lovely instrument and I enjoyed it so far. I have played it for a few hours today with no arm pain from the size and weight. I would reccomend this for anyone interested, I have found the instrument for me and I cant wait to learn more!

over time, it is necessary to change the strings to metal ones. Those that are good for beginners.
fast and timely delivery, really like the harp.

Don’t buy! Garbage item
I bought this harp as a birthday gift for my wife and when we received it over half of the tuning pegs won’t keep tension. I have tried contacting the company LOTKEY and worked tirelessly with Amazon customer care and no one wants to help us. This product is awful and so was the customer service. 0 of 5 stars would be given if possible.

Poor Construction
Poorly constructed and this is a serious flaw in a part that recieves so much tension. The seller is not responding to my email, so no support. My only option is to return it.

Restringing
The media could not be loaded. Super fun to play BUT I hade to restring it almost entirely because the strings were almost not in the pins. A lot of them slipped while I was tuning it because of the lack of turn around the pins. At least there was a lot of replacement strings.
