Options Trading Made Simple: How to Buy Calls & Puts and Achieve Financial Freedom in Only 5 Years (Passive Stock Options Trading)

If you want to understand options and learn how to trade options successfully, this is the best book I have ever found. It is easy to understand without complicated confusing jargon often used in the industry. Trader Travis uses examples that help make concepts clear. Then teaches strategies to help you become a successful options trader. There are no frills in this book. It is very straightforward. Which is the best part about the book; it’s simplicity. There are no unnecessary, over complicated explanations like you may find in many other books that claim to teach you options trading. If you have ever attempted to understand options before, and then read this book, you will understand the difference. The same applies to paying for options trading courses that claim they will teach you how to trade options, yet make things seem so complex, it becomes frustrating, confusing, and seemingly impossible. They then upsell you with the promise the additional courses are necessary to increase your understanding and improve your outcomes. I will add to this category the proprietary subscription based services that “teach you how to trade options.” I have paid and joined many, many programs/services like this and spent thousands upon thousands of dollars with hope that ended in being false hope. More accurately, LIES. I am not a skeptical person by nature, but these experiences have jaded me to the point where I am immediately leery and very skeptical of “trading gurus and their claims.” However, Trader Travis, his books, and the resources he provides have been a complete game changer for me. Yes, I have learned and now make money, despite losses along with wins, even in a bear market, but equally as important, I operate with a plan. I was first introduced to Trader Travis through his YouTube channel and watching his videos for years due to my skeptical nature regarding this subject. But, his explanations of options made sense. He was transparent and straightforward about wins and losses, pros and. cons, advantages and disadvantages of options trading. Upon further research I found his first book that was published in 2015. It set the foundation for understanding options and made concepts crystal clear. This book goes several steps deeper because he provides not only the foundation to understand options, thoroughly, but also strategies to implement to become a successful, profitable, options trader. I’ve mentioned the simplicity of this book and the options concepts and strategies that are taught. Don’t misunderstand simplicity to mean easy. It is not. It is also not complex. Following his strategies you learn many things. Simple is paramount. Discipline is key. Having a plan is golden. Practice is imperative. Implementing worthwhile. Follow through profitable. But, you have to put in the work. However, the tools and resources are laid out, in plain English through this book, to help anyone who wants to become a successful, profitable options trader. The last thing I will say is, if you are a skeptic like I was, I encourage you to read, then test it out for yourself. I mean actually do it. Put in the work and see it for yourself. Every chapter is worth it’s weight in gold. But if you are a skeptic like I was, particularly reread chapter 5, how to tell if a guru is full of crap, then do what it says. LOL! I laugh because, if I had found this resource when I first began learning to trade options, I would’ve saved myself a great deal of headache, heartache, and a great deal of money.

The book explains the terms and processes clearly and is written in a way that the average person can easily understand.

I found great value in this book. However, one short coming I did find in the book is the author “cashed out.” Did the author exercise the call? Sell to close? Only fact I can “assume” is he did not roll.

In my travels to develop my skills as an options trader, I have been following TastyTrade over the last two years and was slowly trading small to protect my account while learning. Even Though I like their content, I still couldn’t see how traders following the TT method could grow their accounts consistently. But I found Trader Travis’s book, bought it, read it, tested his examples (trust but verify) and started using his rules to paper trade and found his approach clear and straightforward. I find Travis’s approach to trading very focused and easy to apply. His rules based approach allows for very relaxed trading with clear points of entry and exit. Travis speaks directly about getting the junk out of your head and he is very clear that you should paper trade this approach first to see if it works then apply real money to trade. I purchased the ebook first then I ordered the hard copy as well to support his work and I find Travis open and honest about his approach to trading, describing his good and bad trades. Give his book a good read and test what he offers, I trust you could find success with his approach. I also want to point out his YouTube channel as well for additional great content.

After wasting years trying to learn about options trading (only to find myself still confused), I found this book and it completely cleared away the fog, gave me a game plan (for life) and a way to trade options with less risk and more peace of mind, no matter what the market does. Thank you, Travis, for writing a book that is simple, straightforward and actionable, even for a beginner like me. I'm grateful for this book (and Travis' other two books), which allow me to learn from an experienced options trading educator.

Travis is a man who was fortunate enough to be mentored by a millionaire. He found his rhythm trading options, but most importantly, he followed directions and became wildly successful. I am not sure what motivates him to pay the things he learnt forward, but I am forever grateful that our paths have crossed. If you want to learn a step-by-step process, be patient, follow the rules, you will be able to grow your retirement account; or maybe you are looking at securing a monthly income; or maybe paying for a vacation for your family. Yes, no results are guaranteed. Yet, what I have found, with the clear instructions in the book, the videos series and a set of rules, the title of Travis’s book says it all - Options Trading Made Simple! you will learn to trade within a short period of time. Travis is truly giving everything for you to succeed, to change your financially outcome and that of your family. What are you waiting for?

Travis, your explanations of the basics are good and your 10 minute strategy is simple and easy to understand. But to be successful, especially for a newbie, you really need to understand which way the markets are trending. This is a skill that can take years to master. There are so many indicators and there is so much data out there. The very best traders know how to sift through all the noise and simplify the information, leading to profitable trades. For a newbie to jump in and play this game with the pros is like a weekend warrior suiting up to play his favorite sport against professional athletes. To adopt your strategy and simply look at a one year chart that has been going up, and is still going up, as the basis of entering a long call option position, for example, would be a foolish and uninformed decision if all the indicators were all pointing towards a future nad likely downturn in the market. If you can recognize the trend, up or down, you are much more likely to enter a profitable trade. This is my opinion, I have only tried paper trading and have yet to be consistently profitable. I have scoured the internet for information and came across some good information, like John Carter's TTM squeeze, because I just could not see how you could place even the simplest of option trades without having some kind of indicator telling you if a stock, or the market, is likely to go up or down. MarketClub's product looks pretty good too. Do you teach the technical analysis that every good trader needs to know?
