Bosch Home and Garden F016800175 Replacement 8 m x 1.6 mm Pro Tap Spool for Easy Trim and Combi Trim Models, Black

My hubby and I do alot of gardening so tend to go through these quite quickly which can be expensive but the price on Amazon was much cheaper than elsewhere - so saved us ££££££££. Worked well with my Bosch Art 23 for the last 4 years (which has now given up the ghost). String is quite strong and I find once cutting grass only - held its own and did not burst only when cutting near the edge of grass which is lined with concrete and then sometimes it burst - but all in all a good product that I happily used for 4 years

This spool does indeed work as a replacement for the ART 26 Easytrim (according to the box also ART 23/26/30 Combitrim, ART 23 Easytrim, ART 23F/GF/GFS/GFSV and ART 25/25 F). While the spool fits and works, I cannot bring myself to give 5 stars - I'm not sure if it's just the ART 26 Easytrim that's poorly designed or the spool or a combination of both, but I find myself going through a lot of wire around the edges e.g. near edging etc and the while strimmer is a bit awkward to handle.

Bought other unbranded spools to fit bosch,honestly they not worth the money even though packs of 3 or 5, the nylon not properly spooled and it tangles and breaks every 2 3 feet of use. Although this genuine bosch was one spool its well worth the extra expense, 👌 The old saying buy cheap ,pay twice.

Though the way in which the product should work is good, the design lets it down. The plastic band that retains the plastic string is flimsy, and once that string binds, the slot in the band becomes distorted, with the result that the intended limited up and down action of the string is disrupted. And be careful if you rewind the spool with fresh string: if it crosses over during winding, you can be sure it will seize. Also, the plastic clips (visible in the illustration) tend to snap off, rendering the spool useless. Overall conclusion: buy a cheap and cheerful strimmer.

The replacement part fitted perfectly. I was able to order the correct spool head for my strimmer. I was able to reuse my strimmer which I thought I was going to have to chuck out. Really happy with the cutting of my grass.
