Didn't work like supposed to.
Irrigation pipe for fields isn't thin aluminum. But it melted before the weld rod would. That's not good.

Lots of heat required, mqke sure you have oxy acetelyn.
They work fine, you just need a freaking oxygen acetelyn torch to even get thicker material hot enough to work with it. I was working with 1/8" thick plate. You need a really clean prep/work area to get it to work properly. I tried this with mapp gas as I usually use this type of rod with but i would have been heating my one work piece for 30minutes to get this to maybe work with mapp gas. Again it was more than likely the material not the rod. Thicker material requires a ton of heat.

Horrible Product
I am a certified welder with years of experience, bought this for a small job joining an inner sleeve to an aluminum bulkhead. Anyway, all steps were taken for a successful joining, yet this product did absolutely nothing but ball up under temp. Flux would burn off and it would create nice little clumps of rod material but would not stick - to anything.I tried it on several grades of aluminum, with a variety of tactics and could not make it work on any of them!Total waste of $$
