Don’t Hesitate…
There are some reviews on here claiming these are seconds, but mine was brand new. Despite being the cheapest colour (black cherry), this is a lovely looking guitar - far prettier than it looks in the photos. It’s great value too, with locking Grovers, USA pickups and a case. I spent £120 to get mine setup by a local luthier (fret dress, nut, lower action), so it sounds and plays beautifully too. I’ve played it back-to-back with Gibsons costing four times as much and it stands up well.

Best Quality / Value Les Paul available
I had been looking for a Les Paul for a while. I was even considering stretching the budget to a Gibson Les Paul Classic, however I was put off by the changes of the entire 2015 line-up with the introduction of robotic tuners etc all as standard. After reading many reviews and watching YouTube videos, I decided that this was the next best option. unfortunately I had to return the first guitar that was shipped, due to some hairline cracks where the nut meets the neck, however the replacement guitar sent is finished to a very high standard. Solid mahogany body, solid maple cap with a beautiful flame maple veneer, this guitar has a very solid feel with really good sustain, Gibson USA '57/'57+ pickups, Grover locking tuners, quality hardware including coil tapping, strap locks and a nice hardshell case. I would have to say this is the best value genuine Les Paul you can buy. For a third of the price of the Gibson, finished to a similar standard and Gibson USA pickups, it is a lot of bang for your buck!

DONT BUY. THESE ARE SECONDS
Don't buy these, they are seconds. I received one which was defective, waited a week for a second one and that was defective as well, both with the same problems. Treble volume switch broken, not properly attached and not working. Both tone switches put on wonky, neck pickups loose and not attached. I never even tried playing them, for £450 I would have expected better quality than I received, both have been returned and I have been left very dissapointed

Flawed gem Les Paul copy
Got one in the Black Friday sales - too good a price to ignore.Looks stunning at first impression..Pickups sound excellent through a vintage style valve amp.But how bad is epiphone quality control if even a higher price premium instrument like thiscan be signed out of their factory with a too high nut, shoddy fret finish, and unreasonably high action !!!???The nut is cut far too high !!!So do I tweak the bridge and hope for the best, and make do with the fretting as is,or go thought the hassle of return for replacement with Amazon Logistics ?????I've already owned at least 3 very nice quality / mid - range priced Chinese manufactured Les Paul style guitarsthat suffered from uneven high frets;so bad that no amount of bridge and careful truss rod adjustment could get a buzz free action on the low E below 3mm or 4mm at the 12th fret.Plus the additional problem of bridge posts being drilled a few mm off true location,so they were impossible to ever intone correctly.I hope at least this epiphone does not also have those defects....19 DecUPDATE:Unbelievable... I waited in all Saturday for a replacement to be delivered, and this one was not only covered in greasy smearsbut when I lifted it out the case I discovered the headstock was nearly cracked right off !!!It was delivered in the epiphone hardshell case, 2 cardboard boxes, but absolutely no bubble wrapor any other form of padded shock protection. To add insult to injury, it actually looks like the nut had been cut at the correct height for this one.[if only the nuts slotted out easily for swapping over instead of being glued in...]This is seriously appalling service from Amazon !!!!!!!!!.. and it now looks as though these days Amazon are trying to squirm out of supplying fully prepaid returns labels...????So 4 star review dropped to 1, and now to waste who knows how much time phoning their service line.=================================================A YEAR AND A BIT LATER UPDATE:I've had time to to sort out the negative issues with this guitar and Amazon.I now have one in acceptable working condition, and seriously consider it to be a very good guitar, irrespective of price and brand name.So in fairness am reinstating the 4 star review..

Beautiful guitar at half the price of a Gibson LP
I bought this guitar because I was attracted by the price, it is brand new and comes with a case. The guitar sounds beautiful on a Line 6 Amp, the craftsmanship is amazing and it looks great alongside my Gibson LP and Gibson SG, well worth the purchase, especially if you are on a budget and looking for a decent instrument.

£3000 guitar selling for less than £500!
This guitar is basically a top Gibson LP but hand-made it China instead of the USA (probably more care taken) with an Epiphone headstock. The build is exactly the same as a Gibson and the quality is first class almost certainly better than most Gibsons made in the last 10 years. It has authentic Gibson pickups too. Plays great. An absolute steal! No wonder it's difficult to get one new.

Avoid the red one, it’s cheaper than the others for a reason.
Bought via amazon warehouse as “used, good”. Item was not as described! It was not used but a factory reject due to its appalling condition. Thankfully there was no cosmetic damage and the smashed in volume pot was easily fixable. Truss rod adjustment needed to correct a severely bowed neck and had to correct the intonation. After all the work she plays and sounds superb. This was clearly returned by previous buyer and palmed off as used. A beautiful instrument, shame about the quality control. Avoid the red one, it’s cheaper than the others for a reason.

They're beautiful guitars but this tribute is in another league
This is my third epiphone Les Paul. I have a really old one and a limited edition bourbon burst standard plustop pro that I got a couple of weeks ago. They're beautiful guitars but this tribute is in another league. the finish all round the guitar but especially the faded cherry sunburst top its sublime!! Bang for buck wise this is as good as it gets and with the Gibson pick ups the sound is phenomenal. If you wanted a similar Gibson you'd be paying £1k more minimum and for me that's not worth it for a different name on the headstock when this does everything at a fraction of the price. Heck, it even comes in a top quality epiphone branded hard case to protect it. All in; if you want a top end epiphone les paul then here it is.
