The Boneyard: A gripping serial killer crime thriller

Lovers of D.I. Charlotte Savage investigations will not be disappointed by Mark Sennen's latest novel. We all know who the serial killer is, the police police know his identity too but proving guilt is another matter. Needless to say Savage gets closely involved with the killer and a cat and mouse game develops. Add a disgraced American female cop to the mix working closely with Savage and sparks fly. I dare not reveal more or I'll give the game away. Get reading!

In all honesty I'm difficult to please when it comes to reading. I've read all the books in this series. And would say this is definitely my favourite. Bit more suspension and more thrilling. I'm a bit harsh when it comes to ratings. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars,was because I found the end a bit to predictable. The rest of the book read very well though.

I've read all the DI Savage books and enjoyed them all. This one is Mark's best one yet. It touches on a particular type of crime/sexual deviant behaviour that will shock some readers. I actually like to be shocked when reading crime fiction anyway ( no I'm not a sicko ). I won't go into what it's about because the synopsis tells you that anyway. If you've read the previous books you'll love it or if you haven't and are a fan of authors like Stuart MacBride, M J Arlidge, Sarah Hillary or Angela Marsons you could read it as a standalone. Interesting characters and brilliant story

I purchased this after reading the reviews and thought it would be the start of a new series of thrillers for me, but I have never ever read anything so graphic and such repeated appalling bad language which ruined the story for me, and have now discarded it halfway through. I can see why it was discounted to £2 and this should have warned me, but give it 2 stars for intense effort. Sorry Mark not for me.

Another excellent book in the Charlotte Savage series by this exciting author Mark Sennen. Once started very hard to stop reading, brilliant characters, enthralling storylines. I highly recommend this series of books and it’s author to anyone who has never sampled these delights.

This is a really gruesome story but told really well, keeping you turning the pages to see what happens next while trying to work out who the perpetrators are. This is one of the very few books that actually keep you guessing, and when you think you have it sussed you find out that you're wrong. Great book, well worth five stars.

I've always enjoyed the Charlotte Savage books and this one was ok. I love stories that keep me guessing until the end... and this one didn't do that, I guessed who the bad guy was right from the off......shame, it spoilt it for me and I predicted most of the rest of the story.

This is my first Charlotte Savage story but it won't be the last. It is the sixth in the series, I hope that won't matter. A good, if gory murder story with a couple of good twists. It was more about how to catch the bad guys than anything else. An overall excellent read.
