I have a tesla charger. Can i use this charge adapter if i want to charge BMW x5?

Without getting bogged down, the X5 is a gasoline car. You should check with BMW or web sources to tell you if the J-1772 connection is what the electric BMW model will use to be charged. Most European cars that Iam familiar with (like Audi Q4 and MBZ EQE500) use the J1772 adapter because their cars are built to receive it. The wall charger we use on the Tesla Model S we own and with this adapter to charge the Audi and MBZ models mentioned above.

What is the difference between this ccs adapter and the one sold on the official tesla website?

I purchased and used it for a while and it is almost exactly the same as the original Tesla CCS adapter I used before, and there is no difference in its use.
