Chancellor (Ruthless Paradise Book 3)

I started this series at the beginning with Outcast and before I knew it I was hooked! All of the books are amazing. The characters are layered and the mysteries keep on coming!Specifically for The Chancellor- I COULD NOT WAIT to dive into this book. Archer and Kat’s dynamic just hits different. They’re so well matched with their quick whit and skill sets. Though they come from different backgrounds they’re both beautifully broken in the same ways, both falling victim to their own insecurities as they work through what each want from their relationship. Just when you think you’ve got them and the overall story figured out there’s a twist or turn you didn’t see coming. It’s brilliant and mischievous in equal measure. It’s spicy and funny and touching. I’m giddy like a kid at Christmas for the next book Wild Thing.

I probably would of waited to read this if I had known it was a cliffhanger but.... so worth it! Definitely an emotional roller coaster! If you like books with dark edges, this is it. I am super excited for Wild Thing!

This was by far my favorite out of the series! I was sucked in completely, the tension, the suspense kept me going I just could not get enough, and could not read it fast enough! I can not wait for the next book I AM SO ON EDGE! highly recommend if you're looking for the action and spice. Love lexi's writing!

First and Formost. . . .If you don't enjoy being left on a cliffhanger I recommend waiting until the next book is out and then reading this.Now if you like that delicious feeling you get from anticipation (cliffhanger) this will LEAVE you wanting.Don't get me wrong there is plenty of spice (18+ please respect it if you dont like it keep it pushing) but the cliffhanger is what I was eating up.Now on to the book:I absolutely love that we get a glimpse of the minutes right before “The Change” happened and to see what the reactions were like and how things went down. We get to see things from Archers perspective and his struggles.Then we have our Katura and we get to understand our secretive Russian/Puerto Rican ninja.Their growth and challenges its all there and I can't wait to see where Lexi takes it too.The banter between these two. . . Let alone the intensitythey seem to bring out? (Fans self) I don't blush and sometimes they made me blush.But we do get a major turn around at the end I won't say what I'll let you read that on your own but dang . . . Not what one expectsI am waiting so impatiently for the next story to see happens with these two

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD:First off I want to say I think this was my favorite book from the series! Right from the start I love that we get a glimpse of the minutes right before “The Change” happened and to see what the reactions were like and how things went down. This book goes in depth of Archer and his struggles since the Change happened and all that he’s had to deal with and my guy needs a friend !! In comes Katura, she is such a badass ! I love the banter that these two have with one another and the spice these two bring? Yes yes yes !! The way Archer talks to Kat has me in a puddle on the floor I love them! The end of the book had my heart beating so fast and then ripped it right out and I am so sad for Archer and how he was feeling. The man needs someone to love him. Cliffhangers normally kill me but this one just made me so much more excited to read the fourth book. I can’t wait !!

This series is an addiction. After following Kai and Callies story, I was more then ready to read Archer and Katuras story. There is more backstory/history in this book especially for Archer and more of the relationship between Archer and Kai. We also get to know more about Zion and its make up. I liked having these added details because it draws you into Archer. He was the bad guy I wanted to hate but now.... not so sure I do. I understand him more. With Kat we learn more about her and her backstory as well. Honestly she was a very minor character for me in the first two books but I really like her now and can't wait for more. They both need and use each other for their needs but end up being pulled into each other making for some steamy scenes. And the end?!?!?! Let's say I seriously hope the next book comes out really soon!!

I absolutely love this series! Once again, seeing a different perspective of the survivors on the island, we get another wonderful story. It feels familiar, because of the previous books, but like an entire new adventure at the same time. It’s full of action, drama and spice. Lexi’s story telling is fantastic, descriptive and captivating. I was honored to be able to ARC read this! She has been one of my favorite authors of all time.
