I picked up the Thermalright AM5 CPU Contact Frame along with the included thermal paste, and it made a noticeable difference in my build. Installation was straightforward, and the frame immediately fixed the slight socket bending issue AM5 chips are known for. After installing it on my Ryzen 9 9950X, my mounting pressure improved and my temps became more consistent across all cores. Paired with my Kraken 240 Elite RGB, I’m now seeing 39°C idle and around 54°C max during gaming and normal workloads. The thermal paste spreads easily and performs just as well as higher-end pastes I’ve used before. Build quality is solid, the fit is perfect, and the whole setup feels more secure than the stock retention bracket. For anyone trying to squeeze out a little extra thermal efficiency on AM5 especially with high core count CPUs this frame is absolutely worth it.

Easy to install and great fit for my AM5 chip. Great price and value. Came with an Allen wrench, bolts and thermal paste. Everything you need to remove the old cpu frame. Temps weren’t bad before but helped stabilize them.

Great value and high quality for a perfect fit with even pressure coverage on AM5 CPU's. The look and functionality is exactly what I expected and works seamlessly, very easy to install. With an extra bonus on leaving no large gaps for thermal past to get onto the board when applying past and cooler! Equally great for a beginner or more experienced builder.

Great product, I use it with a Ryzen 5 7600 and is a great solution to have better temperatures and have a good thermal paste application, I would say is a must for this kind of processors

Strong, durable and great looking motherboard bracket for compatiable AM5 chipsets. It's not exactly a needed product, but I will say with this installed on my ASRock motherboard, the CPU temperature of my AMD 9800X3D dropped a decent amount. My idle temps now sit around 48 - 50c. I purchased this item mostly for ease of applying thermal paste to the AM5 chipset (since I am more accustomed to using Intel CPUs which look different) and this made it extremely easy to apply paste and mount the cooler with no issues - and it also helps prevent bending pins. I recommend it.

Finally, peace of mind for my AM5 build! The Thermalright ASF-RED CPU Holder is a lifesaver. The installation was surprisingly simple, and the added security against bending pins is worth every penny. It’s a small investment that protects a much larger one – my processor. Highly recommend!

Everything fit and install was simple. Thermals seem to lean on the cooler side after the install, although I don't have the data. The included thermal paste was dried out and unusable, so order another tube or have one handy if you get this.
