Hyundai HYM43SP 139 cc Self-Propelled Rotary Petrol Lawn Mower Soft Grip Handle, Six Heights

I have never assembled or used a petrol mower before now and i am very impressed. Easy to understand instructions, mower starts on first pull every time and makes short work of a fairly uneven very unruly 'lawn'. it didn't collect all of the grass on first mow but the grass was long and damp so i will let it off. since then cuts very neatly and picks up all of the clippings.

I purchased this mower just over a year ago to replace a Honda mower used for over ten years. Firstly I should have taken notice of the reviews regarding grass collection. The area that allows clippings into catcher is small and constantly blocking , even with dry grass at best the catcher is only a third full when clearing is required. I put up with this but it's far from ideal and increases mowing time substantually also requiring restarting the engine evertime. This can't be good long term.After only one summers use the self propulsion has failed. Connections and belts are all ok and I have been advised that the gear box is the problem. Not really satisfactory after only 2 uses this summer. I would not recommend this mower or even similar Hyundai models and will be going back to Honda after this one packs it in, which won't be too long.

As a 71 year old disabled man, I need a self propelled mower for my small front lawn. Over the years I have seen plenty of badly translated "Owners Manuals" but this is the worst i have ever seen. It regularly refers to another manual for the engine, but I am now told the Engine manual does not exist.It also should have had a PDI inspection but I do not beleive that it has. I put it together and mowed the lawn. I can honestly say that I was ashamed of the result. The lawn looks like a haystack after a hurricane. My old electric mower would have done a much better job!!! This mower is the best advert I have ever seen for electric mowers.

Nice little mower, made short work of my garden. Relatively easy to assemble (even though the quick start guide is a bit busy and confusing). The self propelled feature is great - I've had it before and really happy I sought that out this time even though my garden is not that large. In my mind this mower struck a good balance of features without getting into the more expensive models.

Used it a few times now and grass at different lengths. i have noticed it easily mows the grass with loads of power at any length but reason i give it three stars is that the grass cuttings collector is useless i spend half my time clearing the chamber. Every time i stop to clear this, yes you've guessed it, i have to restart the dam mower!

Made short work of overgrown lawn. Printed assembly instructions not clear.and two part handle is designed with recesses for the head of the bolts and star screws. The top pair differ from the bottom. HINT: all four star screws are on the outside of the handle. (No recess for the bottom bolts)

I am sure this might be a good mower, if it worked. The unit I got wouldn't start and on examining the unit this was because the blade was fouled onto the moulding. As a result the blade couldn't rotate and so wouldn't start. This after I had filled it win petrol and oil makes for a complicated return. Particularly as it weighs so much and now has oil and petrol in it. If it works it would be a good value mower, but mine was just a big pain.

Easy to assemble... VERY easy to use. powerful and swift... everything it needs to be. Not too heavy to push round and the not too fast when its powered.
