Yardley Gentleman Talcum Powder 250g/8.8oz

This is my favorite bar soap. I usually buy it locally, but it wasn't available, so I bought it here. It has a very mild scent.

I love this soap. I originally bought it to keep in my guest bathroom, but I've come to use it as my everyday bar as well. Directly out of the box the almond scent seemed very strong and sweet at first, and I wasn't sure I liked it. Once the bar is wet and used, the scent is VERY mild and pleasant. Looking at the ingredient list, I think the exfoliating agent is "AVENA SATIVA (OAT) KERNEL FLOUR." It's a very gentle exfoliating bar, not harsh and scratchy. The bar feels pleasantly hard and doesn't melt away quickly, but moisturizing at the same time. My skin feels clean and soft, not the unpleasant 'squeaky clean' like hard deodorant soaps. I have sensitive skin and this soap serves me well, no irritations after several months of use. The Husband Unit uses it as well because it's there. When asked what he thinks of the soap he shrugged and said, "It's soap." I usually buy this at Big Lots for around a dollar per bar. When my store was sold out, I went ahead and bought a bulk pack of 8 bars here, just in case my Big Lots doesn't restock anytime soon. My only complaint is that the 8 bars came taped together instead of in shrink wrap. Not a big deal unless you are hoping to use these in gift baskets or to set out for guests. Getting the taped boxes apart and keeping them look nice is a challenge. Ingredients: sodium tallowate, water (aqua), sodium cocoate, glycerin, fragrance (parfum), avena sativa (oat) kernel flour, sodium chloride, titanium dioxide, tetrasodium edta, yellow 5, red 33. The box also says "All Yardley Naturally Moisturizing Bath Bars are Paraben Free & Sodium Lauryl Sulfate Free. 100% Recyclable Packaging. Not Tested on Animals."

I've used this for years. It's a gentile soap with nice smell. It makes good lather.

Absolutely love it!. I tried many things, but I discovered a really great combination, that works for me. Then another layer of the "100% All Natural & Organic Vitamin E Oil For Your Face & Skin". 5. And last step I finish off by applying "CeraVe Moisturizing Cream 12 oz Daily Face and Body Moisturizer for Dry Skin". It sounds like a long procedure, but no it takes only 5 minutes or less. Make sure you work on your neck as well and Décolleté. You will see the effect the very next day, it is baby soft, after about 3 days you will see a major improvement!I am not promoting any of the products above, I just wanted to share with you, because I spent so much time to research and get a perfect combo;) Let me know if you try this and it works for you as well!

Love this stuff. No chemicals to cause itch or discomfort. Cleans great. Switched from a "deodorant" soap and rashes went away!

Been using it for years, love the idea of so many yardley items especially the lotions and creams, I’ve now started using the lavender / turmeric soaps as well, but been using the oatmeal almond soap since the early 2000’s

Box was damage and had lots of Scotch tape

This item is advertised as premium and comes with a high price. If you have tried other Lavender soaps from France you will be very disappointed with this product quality. It is also imported from India which should bring down the manufacturing cost. I am going to ask for a refund.

The package was rather battered but the soap inside was not damaged and was a good product, much appreciated by the recipient

Hate the scent & product arrived was humid. Seems packaging took water than dried but not completely. Will definitely not buy again.
