Effective
Perfect. Good smell not too overpowering. Kept a few bugs away. Lasted well. Good value.

Very poor
Absolutely loved the smell of this candle,however, it didn't really smell of citronella, used it for the first time and it was OK BUT when I used it again the wick just burnt down inside the candle straight away leaving a useless lump of wax. I am so very disappointed with this item that I will not buy another.

Do the job, not overwhelming smell
Brilliant bug deterrent and not overwhelming smell. I use these at our holiday home in France in lanterns. They definitely do the job, give a lovely light in the evening and don’t smell too strong when you’re eating. I buy these year on year and will continue to do so

Wick doesn’t burn correctly. Candle not fit for purpose.
I’d give it one star if I could. It arrived yesterday, as expected. Had guests for a bbq this evening, so I unwrapped it and tried to light it. The wick might as well have been a bit of tissue, it just burnt off leaving nothing left outside there was. I then tried to melt away some of the wax to get to the wick, but I had to keep putting it out. When I finally got the wick to light, despite pouring more and more wax away, it would not remain alight. Absolute waste of time and money. It’s now in the bin.

Not very effective
Not a super strong citronella smell. I think it may have attracted the midges in Scotland.

We live in an area with a LOT of mosquitos. It smells quite strongly and works well. Last night we forgot to blew both candles out outside. This morning it was still burning with only about 1 - 2 cm decline in the height.

Mosquitos are lesser. But I guess they just didn't get the memo.
