White Wool Felt Top Hat Wedding Uncle Sam 7" Tall Topper Hats for Women Men

The hat fits wonderfully but I'm having it fixed after it was nearly flattened in shipping. It happens- just next time pack some papers inside as well as out. thankfully Felt dose recover with a little steam and a quick starch.

Did you know that it is nearly impossible to find a James Montgomery Flagg style Uncle Sam hat?Poor old Uncle Sam has been caricatured so many times that it seems as though all commercially available Uncle Sam hats are cartoonishly large, garish things. So what to do if you want a touch more serious and traditional Uncle Sam hat?Buy this hat!This hat was nearly perfect to fashion into a pretty faithful representation of Uncle Sam's chapeaux. The off-white, almost cream color gives it a nice vintage look and the "belfry" is sufficiently high and wide without being cartoonish.The hat itself is made from fairly high quality stiff felt. With minimum care It should last a long, long time.Although the brim style has a bit more of a roll than Flagg's hat, overall it was more than close enough to create a nice Uncle Sam presentation.If anyone else wants to recreate Uncle Sam's hat, we used 3" blue grosgrain ribbon and white felt star appliqués--both available here on Amazon.The hat arrived much quicker than estimated and was well packed.

Absolute KEEPER!I ordered this hat for an all-white steampunk inspired outfit for Diner en Blanc. I also order three other white “top hats” from various vendors because I was concerned 1) that I would receive a cheap costume top hat knock-off and 2) I was extremely nervous that the hat would not arrive in time for my event. I am extremely happy to say that Hanshow’s Top Hat is the real deal!Not only did Hanshow’s hat arrive sooner than I expected, but the hat itself is/was PERFECT! It exceeded my expectations. The hat is slightly off-white and not stark white which I attribute to the fact that it is made of wool. Think natural white. The construction is solid with weight and very sturdy. Not flimsy, at all. The other hats were promptly sent back to their vendors.This is a REAL HAT, not a campy costume prop.I received A LOT of complements on my outfit. Men especially complemented my hat. This hat is an absolute keeper!*NOTE: I originally purchased this hat in July 2018 and am writing this review four months later. I still believe this was money well spent. Steampunk goggles were purchased separately and are not included.

great hat. as pictured. color (an off white, but i think as white as wool gets) true. hat was crushed in the mail but the seller told me how to fix it and offered me a partial refund for dealing with the issue myself. a pleasure to deal with. a touch snug for me so i'll order a large next time. i have a big head for a girl (23") and knew the size would be close. i'd say size is true. ordered may 15, scheduled to arrive June 11- July 2, arrived may 26 to minnesota.

I used this as my tree topper and it worked wonderfully! It is very sturdy and looks expensive, I get a lot of compliments on it :)

Top shelf. The felt is of extremely high quality and durable. I would proudly wear this product to the most formal event.
