Perfect for My Board Game and Art Printing Needs
I bought this Epson EcoTank printer to help with printing board game designs and small art photos, and it’s worked great. The print quality is clear, and the ink lasts a long time, which saves money. It’s held up well over time with regular use.It arrived packaged very well with no damage, and setup was easy. As a regular family guy who likes to get creative with hobbies, this printer met all my expectations. Would definitely recommend.

Print regularly.
Great little printer. Only does one side printing, you'll have to flip pages manually. As with all liquid ink printers, be sure to print both color and black and white pages regularly, at least once a week, ideally more often, to avoid issues with the ink jamming up.You'll need a USB cable, not included, to get it configured. Setup is easy, and once you connect it to the network you can unplug the USB cable and remove the duplicate direct-connected printer from Windows Settings if setup doesn't clear it for you.If you only print something once every few months, sadly this is the wrong printer for you. All the liquid-ink printers seem to have issues with ink seizing up or drying up if they are left unused for long periods of time. I bought this to replace my 3700 which had that exact issue.

Does not maintain WiFi connectivity reliably
Let me preface this with the fact that I have over 35 years experience in the computer industry, so I don’t believe I’ve been outwitted by an inanimate object such as this Epson ET-2400. The initial set-up was very frustrating, as it requires the downloading and use of a smartphone App to set-up WiFi connectivity, rather than do it directly from the printer’s own control panel, which is minimalist to the point of being useless. Once the App is downloaded, you must establish a connection between your phone and the printer, directly, in order to begin installation and set-up. Long story short, the printer refused to recognize my mesh WiFi network using the smartphone App. I ended up downloading the printer driver from Epson’s website and using that software, was able to finally get the printer to recognize and connect to my network via WiFi, but I was never able to get the USB connection to the computer to work, even though I had the driver installed.Once connected, I was able to get the printer to print, and the quality of the print was decent, but unfortunately, the printer kept dropping the WiFi connection, with the printer queue reporting the printer was offline. The issue was not my mesh network since one of the mesh nodes was in the very same room as the printer, and my older Epson Workforce 545 never had a problem maintaining a connection. My theory is Epson is using a lower quality WiFi chip in these new printers, and it’s unable to maintain a stable connection.Bottomline: based on my experience, I don’t recommend this series of printers due to WiFi instability and lack of usable USB connectivity. Am returning the printer and look elsewhere. Looking at the reviews of several Epson, HP, and Canon printers on Amazon, there appears to be a common thread of problems with WiFi on most of the printers reviewed, which reinforces my theory that they’re all sourcing their WiFi chip from the same, lower quality manufacturer to save money. Good luck in your quest to find a reliable printer these days…it seems the quality has decreased, across the board.

So long as you take care of it, this printer will save you lots of money and give you less headaches
The apps for this printer feel like they are from another time, but otherwise it works exactly for my purposes! I print out college notes as well as stickers for my budding sticker business. And both come out vibrant and smooth. I haven't had any printing issues so far. The app took a bit of getting used to. I've printed off of laptops, my Ipad, and my pc, from right next to the printer, across the house from the printer, and so far they all work fine. The bottle ink that comes with it will last you an extremely long time if you don't print to often like I do currently. I haven't had to refill it yet. And, although I haven't tested it, there's many other brands of ink you can buy from if you want to save a buck, so I think this is probably the best printer to get if you don't want to deal with cartridges but also don't want to fork over your remaining limbs for a printer. I have yet to try printing on vinyl, but I have printed on regular copy paper and sticker paper, and they both work well. And here's a little trick if you are having connection issues. Buy a printer cable. This model has a port in the back labeled "USB". Literally look up on amazon, printer cable to usb, and that way you don't have to deal with the uncertainty if it'll go through or not. The tried and true physical cable method will always work.

Not an Air Printer
This seems to be a solid printer so far. I love the idea of just refilling the tanks with ink rather than buying cartridges. And when you fill them it’s not at all messy. The ink bottles click into place & you pull them off when the tanks are full. It’s a good system. If you use an iPhone you will have to get an Epson app to use to print. I would much rather have it work thru the native system like my old printer did. The other thing is that it doesn’t print double sided automatically. You have to print all the odd numbered pages, then flip them over & load them back in then print the even pages on the back side. The process brings back memories of printers from the 80s. If I had known these two things I would have chosen a different model because I like for things to be easy & for printers to have up to date tech. I should have done the research myself instead of trusting someone else with the job. That’s what happens when the old printer dies over a weekend. That said, everything I have printed looks great.
