I just love Tubes and this doesn't disappoint, sound quality is just beautiful, decent amount of gain, the backlit VU has a nice 'Vintage' look about it, it also has a decent amount of gain.Great sound, great looks and great value for money.Highly recommended.

I switched from an amp with a phono stage to one that only accepted line in and the optional preamp built into my decks sounds terrible. So I took a gamble on this (mostly because it looked cool with the valves!) and it has paid off fantastically. It sounds good, looks good, and has solved the problems I had. The only thing I'd say is it needs some running in time to sound at its best but I guess this is the nature of valves.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this just because it looks cool, not for functionality.I have a turntable with integrated amp, so I’ve run a 3.5mm cable from the turntable to the preamp aux in jack, then used the pre amp line out to 3 active speakers.The preamp volume knob can then be used as a master volume switch.Only con is the VU meter barely moves, even close to max volume.However, the amp isn’t designed specifically for this use so it could simply be down to this - It does look great thoughPlease note that for my turntable, only the aux in worked, the phono in produces a poor distorted signal. Only mentioning this if anyone else wanted to use one of these the same way I have.Adding to my previous review. There is actually a small hole on the side of the pre amp called ‘VU Meter Adjust’. Using a small Philips screw driver you can adjust sensitivity of the VU meter!Giving this 6 Stars if I could.

Great little amp,does everything I wanted it to and more,really nice crisp clean sound as you would expect from a valve amplifier,excellent product would definitely consider buying more electronics from DOUK the manufacturers.

Upgraded after previously purchasing a cheaper phono pre-amp. What a difference . This one is pure silk!
