Worked perfectly when others didn't
I used this to interface the spindle on my CNC with the control software. I had tried a different one which didn't work, so I ordered this one to give it another try, and it worked perfectly. Used with a Chinese HY VFD and Mach3 software

Works as needed!
I used this to program and test sensors before I incorporate them into control panels for automation. I run Modbus/RTU over the device, using modpoll. Works wonderful.

I used it to monitor LiFePo4 battery packs. It has been working reliably.

From my experience, FTDI based USB/serial converters are the most reliable, working without problems in all versions of Windows (from XP to 11). On my laptop (where I was using before other FTDI converters) was immediately recognized by system and new COM port was assigned. Here, one advice for high speed devices: After installing the FTDI drivers, in USB Serial Port (COMn) port settings / Advanced / Latency Timer (msec), choose minimum (1ms). I was able to communicate with RTU Modbus (RS485) device at 10Hz. It is a limitation of remote device refresh rate =10 readings/second (4 channels, A/D 16bit conversion). Connection was OK, without errors or data lost. On the PCB: - FT232RL - PAI141E61 (quad digital isolator 200Mbps, 5kV - almost similar with ADuM141) - Mornsun B0505LS (5v/5v DC/DC converter 1W) - SP485EE (RS485 driver) + on board 120 ohm resistor with jumper - SP3232 (RS232 driver) - LEDs for Power, Tx, Rx - lot of protections (ESD?) on RS485 RS232 - TTL RS232 selectable 3V3/5V - at DB9 RS232, only Tx/Rx signals are available. Looks well designed for industrial environment, working perfect in our applications.
