Great product
We have used this product on two different projects. The first was a light colored, long sleeved French terry shirt that had some discoloration. We chose a beautiful brown shade dye and it came out perfect and continues to hold the color after many washings The second was a denim shirt jacket again with discolored sports. Perfect, even color. Love this product.

Nope
Bought 3 of these to dye my couch cover and it was horrible. Only dyed parts of it, left it splotchy, and now it can’t be fixed.

Good results (mostly)
First, I tried dying a beige cotton cross-stitch fabric. I used only one pack. Turned out dark grey. Bought another black, no real color improvement. HOWEVER, I also used it to dye my light green towels this darker forest green. Bought 2 packs. Great results! The towels were originally 2 different colors of light green. Now they are all the same dark emerald color. I have 3 towels and I haven't used one of them since I dyed it. After several washings, the washed towels have not faded at all. TIPS FOR U.S.A. CUSTOMERS: The dye pod is designed to be used in a front loading washer on which you can control the water temperature. I have an old top loader with very little control over the temp. Instead of putting the pod on top of the items to be dyed, I poured it into the bottom of the empty washer and through the holes below the tub. Then I set the washer for the highest temperature (HOT) and filled the washer. I let it agitate for a few seconds, then added the towels. Since I don't have a HOT-HOT setting (just HOT-WARM), I stopped the washer after the first spin. Then I reset the washer to the beginning of the HOT cycle and ran it until it got through the spin cycle again. It's a little fiddly but I got great results with the green towels. I think the cross-stitch fabric may have had some sort of coating that prevented the black dye from taking hold -- or perhaps I should have started with 2 or 3 pods of black.
