What more do you need?
This carbon fibre, full height, tripod is quite a bargain. It’s not inexpensive but is about half the price of near alternatives and comes with a decent ball head and carry case.I’ve had various bits of Neewer kit and always found it practical and good quality - this tripod carries on the tradition.I searched for quite some time before deciding on the Neewer but I’m glad I made the decision I did. Brand snobs need not apply but if you want a solid, lightweight tripod with no frills this is your boy.You could reduce the weight even further by changing the head for a smaller, lighter one - depending on your use case.In my opinion, it’s best suited to general landscape type photography. A heavy camera and lens combo might be too much but any “normal” camera with up to maybe a 300mm should be absolutely fine.I use tripods every day for my work so I am a little fussy. I own various Manfrotto’s and a crazy expensive Gitzo (that I got cheap) but for the ultra light kit I bought this tripod for, it’s absolutely fantastic without breaking the bank.I have no idea of its durability over time but it seems solid to me.If you’re thinking it’s still a bit pricey and considering a cheaper aluminium option - don’t if you can avoid it. Carbon fibre is lighter, absorbs vibrations much better and is nicer to work with in the cold.Good luck finding a better tripod for the price!

Neewer 66” Tripod with ballhead.
I purchased this tripod having reviewed numerous tripods on the web and YouTube. I’m not a professional photographer but a keen amateur so I had a budget but also wanted something to replace my old sturdy but weighty alluminium Slik 88 which has served me well for the best part of 30 and is still fully functional.I opted for the Neewer 66” with ball head and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed when I received it. It’s sturdy, light weight and the ball head is strong and has a smooth fluid like resistance feel but not too much.Coming in at over 2lbs lighter than my old Slik it’s a breeze to carry and folds down to a very manageable size. It looks great with the red anodised alloy components which compliment the round carbon fibre easy release extendable legs of which one detaches to make a good strong but again very light mono pod.For me it takes my Nikon D7200 and any lens with ease and the base plate is strong and sits nicely onto the ball head bracket giving a good strong feel to my DSLR. That makes me feel more at ease just like my old Slik. All in all I have asked myself the following questions.....1 - Is it value for money?A) Yes2 - Does it do the job that I need it for?A) Yes3 - Durability?A) Only time will tell4 - Would I recommend it?A) Absolutely!

Great travel tripod!
I got this tripod to augment my travel and city centre portrait shoots. My Manfrotto is more sturdy but also much heavier. At full extension, the Neewer stands nearly 6” taller than the Manfrotto! As you can see from the images, I was able to do 30-second exposure shots with no problems at all. Being carbon fibre, it is also warmer to the touch than my aluminium Manfrotto. It is really flexible in the number of configurations it can be used in which again trumps my Manfrotto. The quick release plate isn’t as solid as my Manfrotto, but it still held my Canon 5diii and the 85mm lens with no major issues. Really useful and well made product!

Brilliant tripod
Only had the tripod for a short period of time yet, it is sturdy in the rain and supports my camera and lens on top, the twist to release the legs are easy and smooth. However, the ball head was more stiff than expected, this may loosen up with time, nonetheless, allows the camera to be moved more carefully on top without it dropping to one side while tightening the ball head.

Absolutely amazing tripod however…
The tripod is fantastic. I bought a K&F concept one which wasn’t even level so had to return that. This tripod is brilliant however the ball head can’t be tightened very tight. This is especially noticeable when shooting in portrait mode, the camera will fall down very slowly in the direction of the lens, no matter how hard a tighten. Since the tripod itself is so brilliant, I’ve just bought a second hand manfrotto head and the issue is fixed. I recommend you guys do the same as the value for this is totally worth it even if you are just going to bin the head. Very happy
