Amazing!
Illustrations are beautiful. As for the story, I could not love it more. Beautiful message for every child and adults too but especially for my son who has a cognitive disability. Bought this originally for my sons classroom library but loved it so much I had to get a copy for home too!

A fabulous book for every child who struggles with being different.
This is an absolutely wonderful book for any child who has felt "different" to the rest of his family or peers. I bought a copy for my grand children and would recommend that every family purchase a copy, not only for the peacocks in their family but to help other children understand that peacocks may be different from them but they are also very beautiful.

LOVE THIS BOOK
LOVE THIS BOOK! Such a wonderful way to teach children about confidence and beauty. My 4 & 6 year olds love the story, illustrations and moral. With the current political climate our children need to be supported and encouraged by books like this one. Peter the peacock and his friends are the perfect tool ❤

A classic like "The Giving Tree?"
Dare I say this book by Tyler Curry could become a classic like The Giving Tree, with delightful images by Clarione Gutierrez. It's not political. The word gay or any other "flashpoint" word isn't in it. It's simply about a flashy bird standing out in the crowd and growing to like his own self. A must-have for any public library or any parent with a small child growing into his or her own.
