Good
Very good light until the connection broke in the battery pack. Not cheap but while it worked I was very pleased with it. Quite disappointed with the break which occurred due to the wear and tear so far as I could see. It lasted two years which was not really very long given the cost however it did get some use so I'll give it a 4.

A bit expensive maybe but does an excellent job
Got these based on various reviews i had read on Amazon and the general web. As I walk the dog at 5am in the morning across countryside I needed a strong light to see where I was going and my previous head torch was just not up to the task. They are quite a bit of kit compared to other smaller lights and look heavy but to be honest when adjusted and once on my head I didn't notice the weight at all. On the plus side the amount of light given off is amazing I've got large handheld torches that are no where near as bright, these light up the entire path for 50-100 feet in front of me when set to full on. So yes there not cheap but they do the job and do it well, I'm glad I bought them.

Failed after a few months use.
Switching is no longer instinctive compared to the older model, the battery case closing twist to shut is really stiff to operate and it began to fail (intermittently turned itself off) after a few months use and then failed completely after a total 3 months use, absolute piece of junk, the earlier model I had lasted for 8 years plus with heavy use, the latest model which this review about, lasted less than 3 months with occasional use. Do not bother, much less expensive, reliable headtorches exist (TBH, given it has failed, holding a lighter in the air would be more reliable and effective.)

Broke after five minutes!
Broke after five minutes of opening. The bottom of the battery compartment just popped out after I put the batteries in for the first time and tried to close it. I did not use any great force. Nothing is snapped but there is glue all over my hands and the bottom of the battery compartment (the plastic thing you use a coin to open) will not go back in properly. The fact that there is now glue everywhere suggests that this is very badly made.I wasn't expecting a luxurious torch for the price. But I was hoping for something that would at least last five minutes!
