Very effective and a great camera.
Great quality images. Perfect with playback using SD card. setting up reasonably easy but takes a little while to get the settings as you want them. Solar panel charges adequately but will see how it goes over the winter months. Motion detection good and the brightness of the 2 spotlights gives extra protection although the brighter they are the more battery you use. Look good when up. I attached it to my down pipe using a tree strap. No need for drilling and you can easily remove it if you want to.

Great camera system
This camera is really easy to set up and install. Having switched from a Blink system the quality of the Tapo camera is so much better. Picture quality is great and it doesn’t seem to suffer from false activations as much as the Blink one did. Been up a few weeks now and the panel appears to be keeping the battery topped up, and that’s in winter. Night vision is good quality as well and WiFi connectivity seems to be solid despite it being 10m away from my house. Would definitely recommend.

Great camera, gives peace of mind
I love this camera, it's easy to install and gives a very good picture. Solar panel, if well placed, keeps the camera battery topped up well. It's been at 100% all summer. App support has some quirks like reminding me that my car's on the drive whenever camera is viewed, or turned off and back on. Overall an excellent choice for the price, especially if you use the local storage on a hub. Just ordered a second one to cover the rear of the property.

Model C325WB - Not quite what I wanted 🙁
Excellent security camera with some great features. The person/vehicle/animal recognition works very well and the recording and alert function are great. Easy to fit and connect to the WiFi or ethernet. The night vision is however a little disappointing for my application. I bought this camera more for astronomy use than security as the ability to have full colour night vision, as advertised, does not work in the Version2 camera. There was no mention in the advertising that there is a difference between V1 and V2 cameras operating firmware/software. The F1.0 lens is brilliant in the dark and is useful for spotting aurora and meteors etc but unlike the V1 camera the V2 switches to IR in low light and then turns on the spotlights and reverts to colour when motion is detected. There is no option to turn off the IR or spotlights in the menus, unlike V1. This means there is little difference between this camera and any other that switches between colour and IR (black and white) in low light. The spotlights turning on could also alert intruders to the presence of the camera, not always desirable. So although a great feature packed camera the V2 is not as good as the V1 for astronomy and debatably some features not good for security usage. I have not used the audio features so cannot comment about them but I guess they will work well. I can only hope TP-Link issue a software update that gives the ability to turn the IR and spotlights off. Then it would be perfect.

Smart, Maintenance-Free Security Camera
This solar security camera is very impressive; installation is easy, and the solar charging means no battery worry. The colour night vision is clear, and the motion detection works reliably. The app is intuitive and easy to set up with Alexa or Google. The only small consideration is that placement needs planning for optimal sunlight, but otherwise excellent. Highly recommended for home security especially for the price

a good camera without the need of subscription
I don t want to show pics with my area but this is very crisp and clear image, it uses Tapo home app on iPhone also can be used on Macs, the subscription is yearly up to 5 devices 25 gbp/year for basic service and for premium 53 gbp/year up to 2 devices and there is not really a difference between these services they offer the same thing which is snapshots and some ai smart detection they say BUT I ve purchased 1 micro sd card of 256gb for each camera with speed of over 150mb/s and it can record for like 2 weeks in a loop. It has very good detection without the need to pay and ai detection and very fast notifications good flood light but I don't use this also the battery it is charging really fast from 13 to 67 in 2 days if there is a bit of sun but don t cover or put it in the shadow the battery is holding up good I have 95 for 1 week. I ve tried to find a good camera for my area without breaking the bank and I think this is a good choice also it has pet, car, person, motion detection and you can choose in the app where to have the area of these for each or set once for all and it does pick up really fast cars and motion and people I don t know about pets but I think is the same fast. Great
Great product. The App is also great. Uses more battery life the more people pass it, but that’s obvious. You can adjust the range sensitivity to prolong battery life. In the winter the solar energy received is about 0.5% Per day. Mine faces a busy pavement and uses about 1% battery life Per day. Would highly recommend

After 2 weeks this is a really poor product... useless solar panels.
I bought two of those cameras to check my driveway and my backyard just because i had children jumping the fence in the past, damage my cars and so on. I am impressed by the quality and features of those cameras. Especially considering how cheap they are and easy to mount. Privacy zones are great if neighbours ever complain about it i can turn them on. Also the adjustment of sensitivity and detection zones greatly improve the battery life as without changing the default settings i would get detections all the time especially in the driveway. This is not recording continously and i don't need it to. It's great when used with cloud service and i think i will pay for it, at least for the camera that's outside. I did add 128GB sd cards to the cameras just in case i need them. To format greater than 32GB storage to FAT32 use rufus.exe download it from the official website and then select the sd card and format it as non bootable Large FAT32. When you will insert the sd card in the cameras it will say its not properly formatted just press initialize and it will work. My only complain to those cameras are battery life. I installed them while on and the driveway one had a few detections that i didn't care for.. the battery is already down to 96% in 12 hours so i don't expect it to last as advertised unless there are no detections (there will be) However i expect the solar panels to help a bit as i do get a bit of sun in the last part of the day. If not, the driveway one has a very long type c usb cable, i can just unplug it from the solar panel and plug it in my portable battery which is really fast at charging. So no issues there. Happy so far i don't think i need anything more than this. But if i ever need serious surveillance i would go wired Also the wifi signal is surprisingly strong. I expected to need a wifi booster or something. There is some slight delay in relaying the live feed especially to the one that's in the driveway as it has 2 lines of signal instead of 3. Edit: really bad product overall, first of all the solar panels are useless, don't charge at all even if i get 3-4 hours of direct sunlight. The motion detection is horrible. It goes all over the place it does detect stuff that is too far away or doesn't detect movements close by.... regardless of the sensitivity setting. The zones that you can setup do not work at all, it constantly detects my neighbours outside those zones and give me false alarms..... Car detection is useless as it constantly pings you that your own car is in the driveway. Not happy with it, not recommending. I would return this if i wouldn't be so busy and if i could have the boxes in good condition plus all the bits and pieces. I already drilled holes in my walls and fitted everything. I would have to go and borrow the ladder again and do all that hassle. I wish i would've listened to others and just install some wired high quality cameras. Edit2: the driveway camera completely disconnected from the app without me doing anything and it doesn't work anymore. I am abroad at the moment. My brother in law checked on it and i told him to get close to check if the green LED for detection lights up. Apparently that green LED doesn't so the camera does not work at all, doesn't even record on sd card if not connected. It is possible it broke down already...... i am not sure what happened. To remove the camera myself i have to confirm doing so. I am 100% i didn't remove it....
