Much better than the Roland alternative
I've attached a photo to compare two hours of use from a Remo head to a Roland one. I played the exact same songs at the same velocity (I am a hard hitter)The Roland certainly looks nicer and tougher but the first layer always breaks very quickly. For half the price, the remo one is a no brainer really as it's also tougher.

Amazing for practice - Fully recommend
The media could not be loaded. Main pro: A lot quieter and it means I can practice any time of the day. I live in a town house and so I’ve replaced my standard heads with these. I can be playing in the spare bedroom with the door closed and my partner in the next room won’t hear a thing.Sound: You get quite a muted sound, meaning they’re only really fit for practice. They are loud enough for you to have a jam session with a guitar player (although they won’t have their amp as loud as they’re used to)Cons: Your sticks will rebound a lot more than on standard heads, so it will take you a minute or two to adjust back to a regular setup.Recommendation: Buy these if you want an affordable way to turn your kit into one you can practice anytime. Combine them with Zildjian L80s and you’ll have yourself a great setup. They’re a lot cheaper than the rival Aquarian SuperHeads.

Great product
Does a great job lowering volume of your acoustic kit and much better than using rubber pads. I’ve seen videos where you can also use these for reso head to lower volume even more.I recommend tuning as loose as possible to try and get the closest feel to a real head. Even then it’s still not quite the same but still worth it for practice. I still prefer a practice pad for rudiments.

Amazing product! Very silent but bouncy
This product is amazing! I bought it for my partner so he could play in our house without disturbing the neighbours too much. It’s really silent and he can use his triggers on it and use it as if it was electronic drums but with the feel of the acoustic ones. The only negative point is that he says it is quite bouncy.

Best mesh head I’ve tried
I’ve tried various mesh heads from super cheap to this end (but not yet tried Roland heads). These heads are very nice.

A little trampoline like.
Maybe it's me trying to emulate Tony Williams or John Bonham, but this product could be a little quieter.
