Beautiful and Creative
I’ve never done paper marbling before, but thought it would be interesting for the grandchildren. Boy was I right! This activity was not only fun to create, but easy to follow directions. Even our 5 year old granddaughter enjoyed the process of designing. We have already purchased another set to have on hand.

Keep science love alive
This was a great gift for a science loving child. She loved excavating the different minerals and crystals and was excited each time she ain't covered a new one. A great gift to keep the love of science alive with a child

Fun and creative!
This paint marbling kit is easy to set up and easy clean up. The water thickening solution needs to set six hours before the paint can be added. My five year-old grandson was able to follow the instructions and create some amazing pictures! We tried the paint solution on clean river rocks and the colors were faded. Also we tried cardboard and the effect was dark. I used Press and Seal to keep the solution for another day. Eventually we used all the colors and got shades of black. LOL

Expected better quality
We used this for an Ebru art demonstration during our summer around the world with art program. First of all the conditioner/thickener for the water requires 8 hours. Secondly, the first container, even after the 8 hours, didn't work properly and the inks didn't show up on the paper. We did it the next day with the second thickener added - it worked, but the colors were very muted and not what I expected from a National Geographic kit.

Great introduction to the art
A nice kit- capable of producing good results, yet with simple and easy to follow directions. It served as an entry to the hobby for me, an adult. As a fine book collector, I see many books with marbled paper endpapers, and wanted to try creating some myself. This kit gave a nice introduction to the ancient art. Patience is required, as well as some commonsense skill and technique, most of which is mentioned in the kit's written instructions. Small children will require adult guidance for acceptable results.
