Not for those who scare easy.
I can honestly say that I sometimes get a little freaked out when I playback some of the recordings. It definitely picks up things we aren't hearing just what I have picked up in my own house has me looking over my shoulder.

The recorder froze. The display read "welcome" no matter what buttons we pushed. AND, I had to pay shipping to return a defective item. Amazon needs to do better in notifying individuals about this egregious policy.

So, needless to say I decided to purchase this item after binge watching a ghost hunters series. Ya'know ...just to see if it works lol. This is a happy median between the pricier equipment however I wish I would've also purchased the meter reader since it's only 16 bucks. I like that this item is compact and although I haven't gotten to the places I wanted to try it out at yet, I am giving a good review because I it can pick up someone talking outside of my house when I cannot
