This tin opener is expensive but worth the money as it's well made and should last several years

For some reason the last 3 openers I have bought, including big brands (J&J) have all been absolutely rubbish.But this one is great. Opens well, easy to use and sturdy.

Takes a bit of effort to turn handle but dies the job well

After owning several flimsy supermarket tin openers, I decided to pay slightly more for a well known and reliable brand name. I was quite surprised when I received this tin opener that it was so thin - obviously it's the standard size from side to side, but the plastic handles are quite flat. I was a bit worried that I would struggle with this as a have slight arthritis in my hands, but so far it has been fine. The cutting blade is more than sharp enough to cope with all the tins I have tried. A bonus of the thin-ness of the opener is that it fits easily into the cutlery drawer, and doesn't get caught when trying to open it like others I have owned previously. The design of the handle for turning doesn't look like it would be comfortable, but actually it is, and is easy to grip. Overall it is quite a plain design, but I like the victorinox logo on the handle, it makes it stand out from generic brands. Feels sturdy when using, no doubt it will last a good amount of time before it needs replacing.

Very poor quality need to keep tightening it up after every can and even then struggles to do it’s job. I would but less than one star if it was an option. Do not recommend any one else wastes money on this product. Had to buy another from somewhere else

I am happy with this purchase. Nobody should be that excited to receive a can opener. Having had a few useless ones before (one that couldn’t even open a single can) I decided to go with a brand I trust. Unfussy, slim design fits easily in the draw and opens cans without a fight.

Doesn't last long. Won't recommend
