Review: “Singing sweet songs….” - A fantastic photographic collection that catches Bob Marley at his very best both performing at one with his audience or in a relaxed contemplative mood. I had the enormous pleasure of meeting Bob, the Wailers and I-Threes along with Johnny Nash in 1974 and spent a little over two hours chatting with them all. I was 17 years old and totally starstruck. Bob passed me a bottle of beer and was totally chilled about having me amongst them sharing the post concert party and although they all signed my autograph book I didn’t have a camera and I don’t know if any photos were taken that night. I was kind oh hoping that this book may just provide me with one or two…As a big Bob Marley fan going way back to the mid-sixties this book was a must have! Thank you Kate Simon for publishing what for you must have been an amazing time? To quote AA Milne author of Winnie the Pooh, “We didn’t know we were making history, we were just having a good time.” Bob Marley made history, was having a good time and was taken far, far too young but left the world his love in song form and for that we must be forever grateful. One Love!

What a beautiful book
Most probably the most intimate collections of Marley ever taken. The book is beautifully presented, curated perfectly & such great insight and knowledge along the way. I enjoyed reading this book as a story as much as I did the photographs. If you want to be transported to Marley this book is for you. Wow, just wow.
