Unbelievable value for money for 4K and USB C, incredible screen
This monitor is amazing for the price I paid, 188.99 on offer. I use this with an Apple MacBook Air for graphic design work and didn't want to shell out £1500 for the Apple Studio Display. Obviously this is not the same quality but really is not far from it. For my needs I have several requirements. The first is 4K resolution so that screen quality can be similar in quality to my Mac's screen. Obviously it isn't as good but it's not far off. No dead pixels, no visible banding or dark areas. It looks good from all angles with no major light bleed. Colour reproduction is excellent, read the specs this has great colour accuracy which is important for my work. The second requirement was power delivery and USB C connection to attain Apple's pixel scaling. I set mine so it "looks like" 1440p but is still 4K in terms of quality. Power Delivery works well through the monitor using a decent Thunderbolt cable (not a USB C cable). I had a good quality HDMI to Thunderbolt converter cable which works well. The last thing I wanted was for it to look good. This matches my laptop's space grey colour and its overall aesthetic is very similar to an iMac / Apple Studio Display. The stand it sits on is almost identical. In terms of gripes others reviewers have found I have no issues with – not being able to raise the height no support for VESA only 60Hz poor speakers poor on screen adjustment controls which are hidden away. These are all genuine concerns for some but if you already know about them then why buy the monitor and then complain about something you already knew? Making others aware is fine but personally I read the specs and reviews first, I don't just impulse buy. I used the on screen controls once to set the screen up how I wanted but probably won't use it again so these aren't an issue for me. I use my laptop's speakers plus webcam so am not bothered about the monitor's. The main feature is the crisp, bright, colour-accurate screen plus the ability to use Thunderbolt/USB C and the fact that it looks great on my work desk. This monitor is phenomenal value for money if you know what you want, an absolute bargain.

Excellent 4K monitor with great connectivity — perfect for video editing
I’ve been really impressed with the MSI Modern MD271UL. The 4K UHD display is sharp and detailed, and the IPS panel gives accurate colours and wide viewing angles. The anti‑glare coating and reduced blue‑light features make long sessions much easier on the eyes. The range of connection options is a big plus — 2× HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB‑C — which makes it simple to switch between devices. I use it mainly with my MacBook Air M4 for video editing, and it handles the workflow brilliantly. The clarity and colour accuracy make a noticeable difference, and the USB‑C connection keeps everything tidy. The built‑in speakers are handy for quick playback, and the VESA mount support gives flexibility for desk setups. Overall, a fantastic monitor that fits perfectly into my editing setup.

Great monitor
Been using this monitor for some time now and I couldn't be happier. Great resolution, overall quality and easy to assemble, can charge your laptop with the USB C. Only negative I found is that the height is not adjustable.

Good value replacement for an Apple display.
I bought two of these during Black Friday. They seem to be fine so far. It replaced a couple of 15 year old Apple cinema displays that finally gave up the ghost within a week of each other. The build quality is fine. They work seamlessly with the Caldigit hub that I have been using. I use them for graphic design and productivity rather than gaming but I impressed so far in terms of value for money versus Apple's current offerings.

Affordable High-Quality Monitor
The Modern MD271UL is a well-designed, versatile monitor that combines a sleek, premium look with affordability while maintaining a solid standard for various tasks. Its professional design enhances my workspace with its modern, slim appearance, and for a budget monitor, it offers good build quality. The display is vibrant, with a variety of settings to customize, though the navigation buttons could be improved for ease of use. While the monitor handles most tasks adequately, a higher refresh rate of at least 90Hz would have provided smoother performance, particularly for more intensive use. That aside, it delivers sharp, crisp visuals and accurate colours. As a business monitor, it's well-suited for day-to-day work with a solid display. Overall, it's a great choice for those seeking an affordable, high-quality monitor for professional use.

Hard to get USB C input (and PD charging) at this price
This is a fantastic bang-for-buck 4K IPS monitor. Colours are punchy, the screen gets bright and has good antiglare, but perhaps most brilliantly for the sub-£200 I paid, it has proper USB-C display connectivity with 65W charging. That was a must-have for me to easily dock my work laptop when I work from home, allowing me to ditch the laptop's clunky barrel charger and HDMI cable. Being so cheap, there are some small corners cut. The menu is fiddly to navigate and there's not a huge amount of options to play with. The screen lighting bleeds a little bit at the extremities when looking at a dark image, and the power supply is external, meaning you have a big brick to try and hide somewhere when you plug it in. There's also only tilt adjustment; I use a monitor stand to get a comfortable viewing height. Overall, though, it's still excellent value. Other more expensive displays may be more polished and feature-rich, but you're still getting a great looking 4K panel here with strong connectivity options. And that, in the day-to-day of productivity and browsing, is what matters the most.
