Does not allow compression, 1 end wrong attachment, damage to window if try to close it.
Does not fit a Ford Explorer Sport manufactured up to 3/2002 as it is too long and does not have an eyelet on 1 end. PLUS in an attempt to still use the product and adapt it to my vehicle I got it to fit but the pressure inside the strut is so extremely high it was going to break my rear glass hinges and not compress. Are manufactured with incorrect internal pressure. Would only compress 1/4 inch after smacking with a sledge hammer. These need to be on a Sherman tank. The lack of an eyelet on one end can be fixed with a drill hole but do not force it to compress after attaching cause you will break the glass.

Fits 2002 explorer. No issues so far l.
Ordered for 2002 ford explorer. Took a couple minutes to install. Only issue was that the head were installed "backwards" so I just had to unscrew the heads and swap.

Should have bought this years ago
My 2002 Ford Explorer rear hatch struts stopped holding up the glass years ago. I kept putting off finding replacements struts. Finally got irritated and bought these and in less than 5 minutes they were installed and work great. It is so nice to have a working rear hatch that doesn't fall on my head.
