Thin handle too fragile; hard to balance pouring
I've had two of these teapots in two years, and now that my second one has broken today, I finally decided to write a review. The main problem is they are fragile. I broke my first one by barely tapping it into the formica counter edge. The one today, had a lid fall on it from the shelf above. In both cases, what breaks off is the thin ceramic handle, making the pot useless. That same, thin handle makes it difficult to hold on and pour when the teapot is full. What I liked about them is their large capacity. I don't drink much hot tea except in the winter, but I drink a lot of iced teas year-round. I can fill and brew one pot in the microwave, pour it into a pitcher, then add water and ice for a full gallon of strong iced tea. I also liked the look.Instead of buying a third teapot, I decided to go with a stoneware large teapot available on Amazon. I'm hoping it will last longer.

Great tea pot - make infuser deeper and smooth out lip on tea pot.
We are loose leaf tea drinkers, so we always need a couple of tea pots. So far my favorite had been the Chatsford tea pot, an English brand. I liked the pots when they were made in England. Bu a few years ago they moved manufacturing to Malaysia. Since then the walls are much thinner and do not retain the heat as well.Imagine my surprise when I found and bought this one. What an excellent product! I love the way it retain heats while tea steeps, the pour, the construction is rock solid. The infuser is steel and well built and I love how easy it is to clean. So what are the cons:- The infuser for a 45 oz pot needs to be a tad bigger. We use 7 spoons of loose leaf Assam or Darjeeling tea for the strength we like, but there is not enough room for the tea leaves to expand. Hope they can make the infuser deeper in future versions of the pot.- The lip at the top holds dirty water when turned upside down and placed in a dishwasher. After the dishwasher runs, I have to again rinse out the inside because the lip design retains the dirty water after a rinse.Anyways overall I strongly recommend this design of tea-pot and will buy it again in a heart-beat.

Do you have time to sit down for a cup of tea?
This little teapot moved onto our kitchen cupboard as if she were meant to have been there forever. We got it in red. The color is vibrant, the finish is flawless, and the shape is just plain elegant. The lid fits perfectly and stays in place while pouring. We LOVE the dripless spout!! We own a fleet of teapots and this is the first one ever to have a dripless spout! It has gotten rave reviews from guests, and a comment I've heard more than once is that it is deceptively heavy when lifted. This does not mean the pot itself is heavy, because when it is empty, it is not at all. What it means is that it takes up relatively little space and looks small even though it holds about 42 oz. of tea! The infuser insert is beautiful, and since we only brew whole pots of tea at a time (when brewing less, we brew by the cup), we won't encounter the issue of the water not being deep enough in the pot to soak the infuser. (A casual look in there though looks like the infuser is more than halfway deep in the pot to me.) We are daily tea drinkers here as are family and friends who stop in regularly to visit. We're thrilled to have this cheerful, easy to clean teapot always ready to serve the next cup!

Wonderful everyday teapot and strainer
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This teapot is an excellent choice for a tea enthusiast to use daily. One of the reasons I chose to try this one was that it was listed as "high fired ceramic." If you do not know, this means the ceramic is fired at a higher temperature, like stoneware, and will be stronger and denser as a result. Upon arrival, it does indeed have a nice, sturdy feel. Being high-fired also means you are less likely to have problems if you use this with a tea light, although I haven't done this yet. The glaze is nice, with a lovely bright, but not glaring color(I ordered the red). It is evenly glazed, with no obvious defects or bubbles, inside and out. It was also listed as lead-free, which is of course desirable. The strainer has very fine holes, which do not let tea leaves come through. It provides room for the leaves to unfurl properly, but makes clean-up a snap. It's what I hoped for. I might have made it a tiny bit longer, but I am well pleased with it. I'm going to upload some customer photos as well, so look for those to get a good view of the strainer.Just as I had hoped, the curved spout tip makes for easy drip-free pouring! Yay! In this video, you see the first time I poured from this pot. There is one tiny drop hanging on the tip of the spout afterwards. If you pour with just a tiny bit more care, there is no drop at all. No tea ran down the spout at all when I poured. This is a hard-to-find quality in a teapot, and this one does wonderfully well. The handle stays pretty cool to the touch, even when the body of the pot is quite warm from boiling water! It also seems to hold heat rather well, and has a tiny steam hole in the lid. The lid fits with or without the strainer. It is all nicely designed to go together. Also, there is a silicone gasket around the lid's rim, which holds it well, so no worries about the lid falling out or sliding around during pouring out.I would definitely purchase this pot again, and I may get another color, for myself, or for gifts.

Makes lukewarm tea.
It looks great and gets a lot of compliments, but it just doesn't make a very good tea pot.The biggest problem is that by the time the tea has had adequate time to steep, the cold ceramic has sapped a good bit of heat out of the water.By the time you get to a second serving, it's lukewarm at best.I tried running hot water into the pot to heat it before pouring in my tea and that worked ok, but still not great, plus it's just a waste of water.I also tried making half a pot just for my self, but the infuser only goes half way down so the there is a limit to how little water you can put in there.Over all I found it did not serve the purpose I bought it for.

making it pretty unsafe to use
The teapot is lovely but we only had it a couple of months, using it about 10 times during that period, and then a big crack appeared at the bottom of the handle where it joins the main body, making it pretty unsafe to use. The company didn't want to know since it was outside their 1 month warranty period. I wish I had instead bought something from a different firm, and strongly suggest you do too!

Great but lid needs changing
Plastic seal for the lid warped after no time at all so now the lid is all loose when you pour. Apart from that it's pretty cool

No drips!
Best teapot ever. I dropped our original ForLife teapot and broke the handle off, devastated so ordered a new one. Relief, arrived quickly and in use from day one. Happy tea drinker.

The design is excellent is the most useful that we have had
This is the second teapot of this design that we have bought, although of a different colour. The design is excellent is the most useful that we have had, particularly as we prefer tea leaves to tea bags. I would recommend it highly.
