Effective and easy to fit
I got this to put on my new build because every time we had rain heavier than a light shower I would be able to hear a dripping noise coming from what sounded like the boiler flue pipe and I was concerned about damage further down the line. The builders did nothing so I thought this might be worth a shot for less than £20.Installation wise it was very simple. Drill 3 holes, chuck in rawl plugs and screw into place. You have to make sure it’s 3 inches above the flue for regulations apparently and that did seem like a fair bit of distance but it works a treat. Haven’t had any dripping since and we’ve had a few decent rainstorms since then. I’m also a corner property so it gets pretty windy too but it’s not budged. Absolutely worth it.

Excellent product
We had water dripping from our boiler one night. The plumber said that the water is caused by rain coming in from the flue. We've only been in our new house for three months and this hasn't happened before but the boiler appears to be working fine, so it sounds like it can only be a build up of rain water... This was easy to install, it's sturdy and hopefully will provide additional protection now. I read it's quite a common problem with flues and you wonder why they aren't installed at a slight downward angle.. Anyway the cover is on now and looks fine.

Wish it was just a bit longer, it extends about an inch out from the flue
I bought this because we had torrential rain yesterday. I thi9nk the gutter couldn't cope with the amount of water so it was overflowing down the side of the house and hitting the flue. I found water dripping inside from the bottom of the boiler. Hopefully this will do the trick as it will deflect any water which is coming from above and the lip which rises all around should stop water splashing over into the flue.

Exactly what I was after
Very happy with this. Heavy rain was causing water to leak through the boiler, coming in through the flue. Had this cover for a month or so now and had plenty of rain in that time.No water at all has got in through the flue since fitting this. Very easy to fit, just three screws. Solid and good quality. Would definitely recommend.
